Need help with Chalkboy logic (HELP)

Archive: 6 posts

i don't really like asking for help, but every known creater needs it from time to time. I need help with my chalkboy logic, i took pics of the animation frames and stuck it on sticker panel material. to reduce the thermo from overheating. I am just trying to make it so no frames interfer with one another, There are many frames, Walking, Jumping, Pushing, Pulling and throwing chalk. Now I do not like giving credit i like to try to do things on my own, But it would mean alot to me if someone could help me. If want to give me a hand PM me here. my The_Lil_JoKeR got suspend till Oct 15th.2011-10-01 01:42:00

how are you overlapping those animations? it's just that i was looking forward to the sticker panel for that very reason and from my experience so far you can't animate in the same way as you can holographic material. when you place them on top of each other, you just don't see those underneath. i tried using an in/out mover so that they wouldn't interfere with one and other but the result was far from smooth and that's a poor work around anyway. so if you in any way have got any animation going i'd like to know how.

it has something to do with my logic set up for overlap frames

take the jumping animations (each frame already wired to your logic) and stick them all together. now take your jumping animation and stick them all together, wired of course to your logic. now take both of these animation and stick them together. i think that will do it. my problem was easily solved: you can't see them properly unless you put on preview mode.

i don't think the sticker panel was thought through properly. if you are to line them up perfectly you really need to see the frames clearly and you can't mess about once they're overlapped. having to do it in preview mode is annoying as hell. if they'd given us dotted easy to see white lines around them it would have been a lot easier and sometimes you might want to move the animations across or up as you do it. with a lot of frames it gets really difficult to differentiate with each sticker panel and it's relation to which part of the animation cycle it is at. if MM had allowed us to see them in create mode, that task would have been made so much easier

what you could do, and i haven't tried this yet, is leave the setting on default and once you have placed them, grab them all and change the setting that way... if it works tell me. i'll probably try that tomorrow anyway though

on a positive note though the sticker panel has given me a reason to actually 'want' more stickers, i made quite a nice flowing river effect with one particular sticker and i now have 4 Berty the badger bats flying around my logic practice level lol
