Hello one and all. You may know of my Sacksettlement as a community hub where players can post there level links and add all sort of things. But Is it the first ever one and as far as I know the only one? If it is then wohooo for me but does any one else know if there is another community hub out there like mine? I wonder?

Yeah.. I'm in 2 of them.. one of them being a Mm pick but even considering that, they don't generate very many plays on the levels. Have you never heard of Leklack and Mudluck's "Little Big Picks"? They are probably the most popular and actually helpful HUBs in LBP2, also.. very well presented. I'm not trying to discourage the idea though. It is a very kind gesture to help creators get more attention.

Ok then but mine is slightly difrent. Im trying to make basilyc a town. Adding level links is like a bonus but mine is more like you have a shop you can build the outside of the shops and place it in SS. So im going for a town,city sort of thing. So its not like a random level pick forum where only certain kind of levels get picked. ANY level what the person wishesh to add a level link can do. It dosn't even have to be a level. It can be a house. For your sackperson to live. So in a way its a bit of fun and games, build a house, place it in Sacksettlement, live there etc. I even got a TV station where Littlebigtoons is located and thats a place to make Adverts for you level. Its got a council as well for people who wish to ask any qustions about SS. A few shops. a underground train and so on. And once the people joined Sacksettlement and posted there Level links, they can leave it there for ever.

Well, it sounds unique. As long as your having fun building it, go ahead. But yeah, in general, hubs aren't something people typically revisit after the initial publish.

so far my hub has about 20ish players and still growing. Free for all to join. @Silverleon. Yeah I still do it, just dont want to go around sayinf its the only one if its not the only one.

yeah, sorry exsplaing is not my strong point. So yeah anyone could build a house, nightclub, castle etc any building there want and send it to me and then they place a sackbot as them seflves which repersents them and thats how a sackperson lives there.

This is a really nice idea, but how do you think to cope with the thermo? I mean, you know everyone will unfortunately try to outdo the others with a bigger house with more materials, thermo and the such... I think you have to set some limits, like a max number of materials and a max size, like 5x5 big squares, one layer...then it's up to you, mine is only a suggestion, but picture me interested.

Thermo wise, its not so bad. Some houses are very normal in desgin and don't take up much thermo and so far I havn't really encounter any one trying to outclass the other houses. I got about 20 or so buildings packed into 3 normal levels. I am even thinking of opening up a LBPC HQ!

The LBPC HQ would be a nice idea. Though, I want to warn you. These kind of projects are hard to keep up all by yourself, so I really suggest you to find someone that you utterly trust, to help you. And open a group and start to discuss it. Seriously, I might imagine that this is your project and you wouldn't like to share it, but every project handled alone or with few people...well it doesn't end well, for lots of reasons...even simply the lack of time because of real life. So, think about it, don't rush the idea, plan a lot, find good team mates and deliver the best thing you can. Good luck PS. I want to have my house there

Cool! Welcome aboard omega! I got one or 2 friends who help me with it. One of them owns a a TV station who dose shows and in the shows he advertise levels and hes going to advertise my Sacksettlement. A odd thing is tho, I post a topic about Sacksettlement and quite a few people are interested in but then it dies but If I post another one I have a whole new lot of peoeple wanting to join. I am even thinking of opening up a Sack Settlement HQ to help new people to SS understand what it is all about. I'll add you or you add me so I can add your house.

The adding is a bit of a problem since I have more friends' requests pending than free spaces, and it's already a problem for me to deicde to befriend someone over another...

ok no problem. All ye have to do is send me the outside of your house and a Level link to the inside of it. The adding part is just so to make it easier. i visited sack settlement and its a cute little place. i love the idea and i agree, you certainly need to consider getting a team together.
