LBP2 Move Motion Recording

Archive: 5 posts

I've seen a lot of stuff about the new painting tool that comes with the Move pack, but has anyone used (or seen someone use) the motion recording tool for anything interesting yet? That's what I want most of all the features in the pack.2011-09-27 18:07:00

I've made a bunch of puppets for the motion recorder. I made a Kirby and King Dedede that can change facial expressions, although I haven't thought of anything to use them for yet.2011-09-27 18:46:00

I really dont think the motion recorder is that great; after all, its just as shaky as the move always is, and as such, you cant make anything precise with it. Maybe if there was some sort of grid for it(and the paint tool[and the paintings didnt corrupt]), it might be useful. Kind of a dud, although good for puppet shows.2011-09-27 18:51:00

I don't want it for precise motions, just more realistic ones. Besides, there are ways of reducing the shake. For precise, exact movements I'll stick to my normal system of placing tags and followers. However, there are a lot of times when I want to make a very complex and more natural animation for an object. There is nothing better for making a realistic animation, than recording real movement.2011-09-27 19:16:00

I hate having to select it because it always seems a blind stab in the dark at pressing T and wiggling it, only to find that the wiggle was recording and it was completly wrong, so you have to do it again, to take forever to select it to select it without realising to select it again...

You get the idea. Winches and tags and pistons are the way to go.
