Official Technique for Transparent Stickers?

Archive: 5 posts

Now that we have the sticker material I was wondering if anyone has discovered a concrete way to achieve transparency in photos. The topic seems to have died off, but the goal now has more purpose with the new material.

This was found in a previous thread:

He came across a glitch, sticker glitch, you get a black glow around an object and when you take a picture, it only shows the object with the black glow.

What is this black glow?

I recall this as a white glow actually. It was basically just spamming a certain white sticker down, usually in your pod, about 50-200 times. Then, you would stamp your sticker or object down, or even put sackboy in the way. Because of the constant layers of white, it takes it as transparent(but not couning what's behind it, i.e. pod, materials or create background) and leaves the object as a transparent sticker. This glitch no longer works. Perhaps this black glow thing was another method using black instead of white. Either way, it no longer works.

Hope this helps!

The black glow is like an in-game texture that didn't load or something, nothing to do with placing stickers...not sure.2011-09-29 00:18:00

I heard you need a very old PS3 for this to work :l2011-10-10 17:27:00

Actually, the new move pack lets you make transparent stickers. No glitch required.

(However, you're limited by what you can make with the paint tool.)

For the sake of answering your question, understand that the previous way to make transparent stickers was part of a profile glitch attributed to old PS3's. In other words, the glitch wasn't a choice. You either had it or you didn't.

Here's how the glitch worked - if you had it, certain materials would glow black. If you took a picture of this material, it would be transparent. If you took a picture of an object in front of said material, the object would be visible with a transparent background.
