Should I even bother with the move pack?

Archive: 13 posts

I've seen alot of posts lately about the move pack not working right, particularly the sticker panel. I recently ordered the Move bundle (getting it for free!) but I've been wondering...is the Move pack working correctly for most people, or is it glitchy for everyone?2011-09-25 19:41:00

I've had no issues, or heard of any friends having issues. It seems to not be terribly wide spread.

If you are a creator, the Move pack is well worth it.

I'm not aware of any issues with the sticker panel either.

There is an issue with pictures created in Paint failing to load/corrupting after a few days, but you can get round that by saving the images in a level rather than your Popit (I think).

There's also the fact that they've now put a block on being able to edit in-game photos and DLC in Paint, (which would've definitely put me off had I known beforehand) but If you're already getting Move for free, it's probably worth splashing out on the Move Pack for the sticker panel alone.

Definitely worth it if you are getting the move anyway. The sticker panels are SO useful, and you can make some really fun things with all the move tools. Also, aside from creation, the levels that come with the pack are a lot of fun, and the prize bubbles actually give you useful things, like sequencer instruments and stickers that don't look stupid.2011-09-25 20:25:00

Yes, you should get the Move bundle.

I've never had a problem with anything in the Move pack. And in my opinion it is the best pack MM has ever released.

Odd you would even ask that if you're getting it for free. It'd be worth it even if you were paying for it.

The only problems I've ever had with it are issues not related to the pack, but rather me trying to figure out how to get some of the things I want to do to work, which is simply a matter of inexperience on the player's part. But there is always a chance you could be one of the unlucky ones and have issues related to the pack.

The Move Pack is worth the sticker panel alone! 2011-09-27 00:43:00

Two words: GET IT. If I could choose one DLC of LBP to have, it would be the Move update. There's a new story with it as well!2011-09-27 00:49:00

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted the Move with or without the move pack; I'm glad to hear it's working good in general. I'm getting the bundle for free thru a incentive program thru my job (AT&T). I get points for doing good for the month, and I'm spending this month's points on the move bundle =).2011-09-27 01:51:00

The only major bug I've seen is the corrupting move stickers. There are workarounds for it though, and it has been acknowledged by Mm, so it will eventually be fixed.

All in all, I couldn't imagine not having the move pack now. If you create, get it. It's so great, even people without Move buy it!

The only reason not to maybe not get the pack is if you don't have a Move control. If you have the control there are some great levels, great new materials, and great new game design options. The price if the pack (ignoring the controller cost) is a really good deal.2011-09-27 07:47:00

I've only had trouble with the paint tool, but they usually got fixed by restarting the PS3 and replaying a level.
Oh, they're fixing a glitch with saved paintings which don't work. But I only used paintings to build microchips icons so I'm fine.
