Right, so I am one of 3 creators of a LBP machinima series called Game Thing...! (http://www.youtube.com/user/TrollcatProductions?feature=mhee#p/a/u/2/cjgKc-W_H_Q) (OK, enough plugging), and episode 3 has run into some issues. Some hat related issues, as the title suggests. Problem is, I need a hat just like Cole Phelp's from LA noire, or at least as close as it gets (A top hat will not do). http://images.wikia.com/lanoire/images/f/f0/Cole_Phelps.png There are just so many items on LBP2 that it is hard to keep track of them or even look them up. I have purchased the Watchmen Rorschach costume (which cost me ?5, due to playstation wallet limitations), but the face mask and hat are not seperate. I kinda assumed the face would be part of a skin, and the hat a seperate usable item, since that would have been the smart way to design it. But no, of course, you equip the hat and you get a black and white blob face. http://theflickcast.com/wp-content/uploads//Picture-123.png So, due to having spare money in the wallet, price is not an issue. Is there an unlockable or purchasable hat that will do the trick? Thanks for all the help!

One this is not news and should be posted elsewhere. 2: what you want is a fedora. and LBP 1 & 2, (not counting Rorschach costume) sadly don't have one at all. However LBP Vita will... not that it helps you right now :/ *mew

Thanks for the snappy response. Unless anyone else has anything else to add, I'd say this thread has served it's purpose. Even if I did put it in the wrong place. I do have a weird and crazy way around this whole situation (and it is not to just have cole without a hat), but as I said, it is weird and crazy. I am hoping it works. If there is anyone out there with a PS Eye camera who wishes to help me out real quick, post here or PM me. I have short work for no pay! EDIT: Just to clarify, I am after stickers. Just don't want anyone getting the wrong idea there.

There is something in the Gobotron level for getting about 6000 points. It is a bit tricky as well since a too large sticker in the wrong place easily leads to the hat getting covered as well. And then there is the limit to the number of stickers (and decorations! Don't forget eyes and mouth) you can stick onto there before the oldest ones start to disappear. The mouth will have to be a sticker, resulting in losing the option of using facial expressions.

I was told about this by my 10 yer old stepbrother. Though it was not what i was looking for (we couldn't find an image at the time), I did unlock a coat in the process that completed my Deus Ex - Adam Jenson costume to utter completion, to be used in the same episode. I did end up using stickers, as BabyFace suggested, but as AntiKris pointed out, that face doesn't take too well to stickers. It will often warp them in weird ways and have them end up on the hate itself. It is also impossible to pu the sticker anywhere but on the chin otherwise it won't show up. HOWEVER! None of these things stopped me, as part of the episode's joke centres around how realistic Cole Phelp's face looks, due to incredible technological advances advances made in face capture technology, by Team Bondi, developers of LA Noire. http://tinypic.com/r/14wu550/7 Excuse the contrast, this was an off-screen photo taken with an ipod. The image above shows the fairly appalling look this character takes on, though as a comedy where the running joke is based around the realistic depiction of his face, it works perfectly. I thank all of you for your help, I am now in a position where I can animate this episode to completion.

LBP™1 comes with two top hats, a tiny top hat and a large short one for a Ringmaster, like you need. You can also use the Watchmen Rorschach hat and use stickers over the face, too.
