help please....

hello everyone...im having quite the time with a top down shooter im making...i have all the elements working...except when a enemy touches me..i want to lose holo health one bar at a time. i have followed wlchrbandits logic tutorials to a t. all the enemy does when it touches me is splat and give me the 100 points i set it to do..all other aspects of this logic is working,even when i shoot the enemy it destroys it..but it also destroys itself..even if i dont shoot it? all im missing is my health bar depleting when i touch an enemy...at wits end here with this..and i betcha its something simple im not doing right...any help with this matter would be great. maybe i need someone to join me in create mode to help..thanks for your time...2011-09-20 19:46:00

I assume you're using impact sensors to detect if the enemy is shot. Are these impact sensors set to require a specific tag that is only on the projectiles you're shooting?2011-09-20 20:34:00

I agree with Blue Helmet! Impact sensors replying only to a tag are a great help for this job but there would also be a problem if he touches two enemys at one time! But its the best simple option! Maybe this could help you too (Tutorial by comphermc):

i tell you some of that logic can get complex..whew! ive watched wlchrbandits 4 tutorial videos on lbp central ...and i still cannot make it work...i have everything down to a t.except how to deplete my spaceships health when an enemy touches me...2011-09-20 22:39:00

I've got time right now, if you'd like me to take a look It's a little difficult to tell where the logic went wrong, or you're missing without seeing the thing.

All done then As a tip for anyone else reading this question, the problem was the enemies' impact sensors were set to be destroyed upon impacting with any thing, not only the bullets fired by the player; A simple tag stamped to the bullets, and set the impact sensor to watch for that tag as well as the impact and done 2011-09-21 01:14:00
