Double-recording sackbots?

Archive: 3 posts

On a new film I'm making, I have two sackbots so far set up with sequencers and movie cameras (one is a cutscene, with the other a soft pan) on them. At first, the sackbots are apart. But, when the second sackbot goes toward the first one, I want another scene showing them walking together. I'm stumped as to how to go about this next part. I'm using a pre-made background (factory of a better tomorrow one) and want to keep it as much in the same area as possible (meaning the pre-made backgrounds change as you go right or up). I normally would use different sackbots to represent the same sackbot, but in a different part of the scene. What I would like to know is if you can record a sackbot doing something else after it has already been recorded doing something, while keeping the original recording as well. Or, can you somehow make the previous sackbots invisible after that particular movie camera runs out, so you can add new sackbots in their place representing the first two. I hope this doesn't sound confusing, because it's confusing for me to write. I know exactly what I want, but it's hard to put down into words. I hope someone can help me on this. It's driving me insane 2011-09-19 17:32:00

If I understand you right, then yes, you can. Go into the Sackbot menu and take out another Sackbot brain chip. Record your second recording, and then you simply need to activate it via a switch to have that recording played.

Did this help? Or did I misunderstand?

No, I do believe that helps. So, I just put the chip on the sequencer? I think I've seen that done. Thanks for leading me into the right direction 2011-09-19 19:19:00
