What was the first game you ever played and at what age?

I think it was something like Spiderman on the Master System. No wait, Cluedo on some really old green-screen Amstrad. xD

Probably Jet Set Willy on my cousin's ZX Spectrum, when I was very young.

Hmmm... we definitely had an ATARI at some stage when I was pretty young. Can't remember the games at all though. After that my first game would have to have been something on the Megadrive. Doubt it was Sonic, we had a compilation game so it could have been pac-man or the football game on it. Or any number of other games on the Megadrive. We had a shmup can't remember the name... that's what I remember playing most often with my bros.2008-12-23 18:09:00

first game i ever played was ET on that old system that was fudged up from the get go, ET was impossible and s__t to beat. lolz

The first game I remember playing was Ultima 4. Most of you would not have heard of it, the most modern iteneration is Ultima Online, and Ultima 7 was said to be the peak of the series.

It stills stands out in my mind as it was a great, long and challenging game where moral choices had an impact on the gameplay. You were rewarded for being good, and I don't mean in a few extra points on a scoreboard way. In all honesty, I can't think of any other game in existance that worked so well at the complexities of moral behaivour. And this is a game that's well over 20 years old.

This would have been 2 decades ago mind you, when many of you may not have been born. When we had CGA graphics (don't ask) and 8086 processes (don't ask again).

I do remember having some old atari system, I think the first real console I remember was the Mega Drive (Genesis in the US) and Sonic the Hedgehog. I did have a Commodore 64, but don't really remember any of the games on it. None of them have stood the test of time.

When I was in High School I met a friend talking about Kings Quest V. This was way, way before what Sierra is currently doing with stuff like Half Life 2.

My first two games were in fact Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot xD then MGS then FFVII. My dad bought all these for me, he had good taste then. Now all he plays is WoW >.< god bless.		2008-12-28 17:08:00
