Ayneh's drawings

Archive: 27 posts

Not sure I've ever posted my drawings here before so, uhm, here they are. I scan them after drawing on paper and colour/edit them with Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/)

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_0f227a3e.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/0f227a3e.jpg)
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_b420c48f.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/b420c48f.jpg)

On this one the colouring came out ok.

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_dca4d238.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/dca4d238.jpg)
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_2d79216f.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/2d79216f.jpg)

As you can tell from the drawing the character was added later. I don't like how this ended up, looks awkward.

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_91ad1124.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/91ad1124.jpg)

Never got around to finish colouring this one.

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_9507e86f.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/9507e86f.jpg)
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_38ef41c7.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/38ef41c7.jpg)

This was made across a piece of A3 paper and several drawings on A4. It was a pain to scan!

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/th_bf271afd.jpg (http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/bf271afd.jpg)

This one hasn't had much done to it, though I think the text in the book was added in later.

If you have any ideas for cool stuff to draw let me know.

Great drawings i really like the colour versions. The first one is my favourite looks like its taken straight out of some anime.
I also like the corridor in the second pic its very well drawn.

I use paint.net myself occasionally though i haven't drawn anything for ages. I use to mainly draw dragons.

WOW!!
If you drew all these... They look like an anime cartoon instead of a drawing. They look great!
Nice job.

If you drew all these...
I can understand why you'd question that. I still have all the original drawings, so if you want me to rescan them or take a photo of them as proof I don't mind.

Nope, no proof needed. I believe you.
It just looks so real.
You're really talented.

It's not much but today I just started using Easy Paint Tool SAI and here is the first thing I painted...

There's no way you could paint things like clouds in Paint.NET so I was happy.

How did I end up looking at an old post? Eh, whatever. Anyway, did you go to an art school? Those are really good, better then me...maybe. You used Paint.net for those? Wow, I can never get it to work. Hope to see similar drawings in a museum one day, if you get my meaning.2012-03-15 20:46:00

Im gonna skip the compliments, because I just need to tell you right out that you could really make a profit off of your artwork. This is beyond talented. Usually, it takes a 2-3 people to make art like this. Personaly, I like the uncolored drawings better; leaves room for the imagination. (On the archway picture, it would be cool if you could use a program and texture the pillars like marble.)

Great work.

I didn't go to an art school. I didn't do well at school to begin with.

Paint.NET is nice to use for block colouring because it's so simple, especially when compared to GIMP. What problems do you have when you use it?

I prefer the uncoloured ones better as well but more because the colouring nevers comes out how I like.

Sorry for the super-late response btw.

I made a doll head from clay.

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Corporeal/CIMG5170_zps582b8793.jpg

The amount of sanding you would have to do to get any kind of decent finish doesn't seem practical to do by hand.

I plan to make the rest of the body to test different joint and string configurations but there are already way too many issues with the head for it to be strung or even sit on the neck correctly.

Great doll head! In Tokyo they sell these at specialized shops. Sadly, everything is now mass-produced in China (if they're interested in price) and Taiwan (if they're interested in quality). However, conception and design is done in Japan and yours is as accurate and smooth as anything they produce. The 3D digital scanning process handles the rest, followed by print production in one of two countries. What you need now are eyeballs and things!

Ayneh, you've been a prominent community figure since I first started posting. You've proven yourself highly talented at sculpture, 2D artwork and (LBP) level design. That's no coincidence. What else are you capable of, I wonder? (^v^)ゝ It's criminal how that you are not so famous and busy that you have time to post in the LBP forums! (That goes for a lot of people here.) Not that being "successful" is above enjoying LBP level creation, but dang. You HAVE to deserve a higher salary than you're getting, whatever you do.

The plan is to make this to the same spec as those dolls so it'd be easy to size clothes and wigs. I'd like to sew my own patterns, though.

Working with porcelain for its translucency would be great but the kind of firing it needs is a barrier. Renting a kiln at ?10-20 a pop with frequent and small yields during development would be too much.

I bought a small Wacom tablet a couple of weeks ago. It's the first time I've used one.

Once I had usable brush settings in GIMP it was much less frustrating to use, although I'm still finding it hard to draw accurately with. It's gonna take some practise.

Anyway, this sketch was too cute not to share.

Hi Ayneh,

your art is fantastic, I really like it. Did you also try to do such paintings with the paint tool from lbp move? A friend of mine has tried some similar paintings with the paint tool, his name is Luke_MK_II and he has posted some of his paintings in the following thread
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=81540-LBP-s-1-VN/page3

Many greetings, Jürgen^^

I don't have a Move but I've seen some decent stuff made with it, Luke_MK_II's paintings you linked to being an example.

I'm surprised there aren't more VNs on LBP. They're really just a string of speech bubbles with some conditional logic in LBP terms.
