I'm liking your combination of green and purple, these colours are complimentary colours. I'm intrigued so I'll add this to my queue. | 2011-09-14 15:12:00 Author: LittleBigDes Posts: 920 |
Boss was well done, altho wouldnt say hard I enjoyed this level, nice challenge - without going overboard! I really liked your design and palette throughout http://i5.lbp.me/img/ft/925e14df63d6c53ac7616a1f647ea07cef084679.jpg http://i1.lbp.me/img/ft/16167417dc778a9d84341e5cb6839f2037ae04d3.jpg And that you didnt always hand out infinite lives, adds to the thrill IMO. The good mix of obstacles made it flow well, nice one (Btw, I know you enjoyed Circuitous, not sure how far you got into it, so if your interested I added a video clip to my showcase thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=63198-Circuitous-pigment-induction-HARD) which gives some insights into different parts - without giving it all away ofc!!) | 2011-09-14 19:32:00 Author: Masseyf Posts: 226 |

I played this last night and I was pleasantly surprised. This level has a nice colour palette & mixture of materials, hologram & neon. Platforming & gameplay is decent & has fun pipe sections that flowed nicely throughout the level. But I did find the boss a bit confusing. It could do with a few pointers or a better path as it wasn't very obvious what I was suppose to do. Or how to get up to the top platform to get away from the rising gas. Maybe I had to grab something? So it could do with a few visual cues. The things on the side were hard to see, this may be a camera issue. Using a game camera and increasing the viewing area or moving some of the scenery would help, or even placing a small light to draw your attention to it. Regardless of this I still managed. But other players may find it frustarting or harder than what it should be. The scene in the pic below looked great with all the bright dazzling colours & movements from the flowers. It's the best bit along with the pipes: http://i6.lbp.me/img/fl/0a631d4daeec519d068f0ac8be04ff5fa2a91e6c.jpg I also liked the hidden score bubbles areas. Overall it's a decent level with a good combination of colours & I'm glad I played it. The sequence of the boss was great. My level is up for F4F (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=62046-Caverns-of-the-Lost&p=913071) and it would be great if you could check it out. Make your way through this platformer being careful of the havoc that a sinister plant is releasing onto little big planet..Got together with BabyFaceJM for this level and Ill be honest his boss is hard but super cool .. please report any bugs/concerns." WARNING: May contain spoilers Improvements/Suggestions: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/1080/poisonivybyperfectnothi.jpg I like the waterfall, especially the purple flowers floating. Even the vine changing color on the wall looks good, but the waterfall has lines and looks sort of squared. I think it needs to have more of a shape and maybe covering the line with some sort of creative decoration would be wise. http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/1080/poisonivybyperfectnothi.jpg In my opinion I don't think the split materials are good for eye candy, I seen quite a few along the level. I'd say it needs Infinite Checkpoints. It can get quite frustrating at times. In the underwater carvens, I noticed that the moving platforms had a slot in the ground to go in, it needs a thin layer to cover the small pit for extra neatness. I noticed that the Bounce-Pads need to blend in more since they're just sitting on top of the platform. Like for an example; Insert the Bounce-Pad into the platform to prevent more visibility than needed, but maybe some sort of artistic hint for convincing players it's a Bounce-Pad? Maybe a light, a certain decoration. Bugs: http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/1080/poisonivybyperfectnothi.jpg I don't know if this counts as a bug, but i noticed that the bounce pad isnt glued. Visuals: I really liked the visual outcome of the purple flowers all around. The colored lights via censor (Obviously). Especially the in the pipe walkthrough sections. The boss fight looked really good, the flowers were nicely designed. The waterfall at the first was a good choice of color to go well with the concept of the level. As well as the neon designed type vines, I just think some should be in the front center of the level too. Also, the neon along the level looks great especially since you have grassy concept related material in the center. But the neon needs to be more centered around the edges of the platform. Gameplay: It was a fun but still a bit hard type platformer. It has a few flaws and bugs here and there; nothing major, but the level speaks for itself that it took effort. I also like how you added secret point bubbles in some parts, most levels don't do the whole secret loot type thing much anymore. I really liked the impressive ending. The boss fight was fun and not too frustrating. Nice job overall. | 2011-09-17 10:37:00 Author: Unknown User |
Thanks catsrule and I'm deff going to make the updates but I do have a question how are you getting that view at the start cause you should not be able to see the edge of the level like that or the bottom of the waterfall | 2011-09-17 19:02:00 Author: Perfectnothing00 Posts: 27 |
Thanks catsrule and I'm deff going to make the updates but I do have a question how are you getting that view at the start cause you should not be able to see the edge of the level like that or the bottom of the waterfall No problem. When you first start, it's an automatic camera angle. I took a picture with my Sackgirl on the very left so she isn't in the picture. | 2011-09-17 20:07:00 Author: Unknown User |
Cause your not the first person that has pointed that out and no matter what mode I am in I have that all hidden, but then again I have had lots of problems with this cause of the thermo, walls disappearing and such so I'm at a loss I'll just have to extend everything out I guess | 2011-09-17 20:38:00 Author: Perfectnothing00 Posts: 27 |

Great level! I especially loved the tubes that kept launching me around. The boss fight was so cool! I haven't seen a plant boss fight on LBP before. Very original! Check out my level and see what you think. | 2011-09-18 19:06:00 Author: Unknown User |
This level was so much fun! I also liked the part with the tubes that foxdie84 was talking about. I found it to be challenging, but not so much that I wanted to give up. I uploaded a pic proving I made it to the end. The boss was lots of fun as well. | 2011-09-18 22:12:00 Author: InfiniteTwilight Posts: 159 |
