Level Type
Vehicles and more vehicles

Notes
As many of you may know, second only to my passion for logic is my love for a well made vehicle. I have wanted to make a nice set of construction vehicles since LBP2 release but just now got around to it.

Drive and operate the vehicles as you find out just what goes into getting all those bubbles into your pop-it menu. If you like vehicles and contraptions then this is the level for you. Finish one shift and the vehicles are yours as prizes.

This isn't your typical LBP2 level, its all about the vehicles. I tried to make everything as user friendly as possible and the level itself is fairly resilient to rough play. Multi-player support is included by taking turns and all of the vehicles are emitted as you select them so if you do manage to break something just cycle through and the vehicles will reset for you.

Special Thanks
Thanks to Fotosynthesis1 for all your input and keeping me company while I churned away at this. Thanks to Coasterfreak1235 for all the input on the contraptions. Thanks to Sadsack101 for his play testing and finally thanks to my youngest son who was the inspiration for a level of this type.

man! I cannot wait to play this! queued

I apologize to all the other levels in my queue. I try to play my levels in the order that I queued them, but when I saw this, I just had to play it first. This was an excellently crafted level. The details on all the machinery are remarkable. The controls for everything except the track hoe are very intuitive. The track hoe kept messing up on me, mostly due to user error. I loved how you get to switch to each vehicle in the operation and follow the score bubble extraction process. Superb. This was a brilliant level that was very fun and informative. Now we know where MM gets all those score bubbles. Outstanding job brother!

*note* C_mckamey and Biorogue are not actually brothers, although biorogue wouldn't mind being his brother so that he (biorogue) could learn how to make a good level

Pushed an update... One visual fix but I did adjust the emit timings on a couple of the vehicles to prevent a non-emit if the thermo was peaking when you swapped, especially when swapping to the crane and track-hoe. This was a very rare and psudo-random issue I have never experienced myself but something worth trying to prevent none the less.2011-09-16 01:51:00

Excellent job. I have never seen vehicles used in a real level quite like that before. This is an original (at least to me) level concept as I have seen vehicle showcases, just never like this. In this level, LittleBig Bubble Quarry, you get to use the vehicles for their intended matter. The vehicles are high quality. And it was fun, too. There were a lot of jobs to do, the visuals were amazing, and the fact that you added multiplayer made it even better! I will admit that it took me a few minutes to figure out what I was supposed to be doing (Since I automatically tune out the helpful button names at the bottom). But that was totally my fault.

I am glad to have played your level and I will be checking back to your Earth often so I can see what you're up to!

Very cute and charming, you are instantly dropped into it and the learning curve is very easy going

I was getting some sort of an brief error msg (I think thats what it was anyway!), when I pushed the ore/bubbles down from first stage and switched to 2nd step (just flashes briefly during the transition - not game breaking by any means! just letting you know).

The vehicles were SO well done, loved the nippy forklift the most!

Only thing that felt missing was objectives - even tho I appreciate the level is just meant to be something different, objectives never hurt

Id love to see day/evening shifts, maybe a timer for bonuses and perhaps a payload quota. Can all be optional stuff, so the level can still be easy going if you want or have that extra task for bonus points.

Really lovely level, enjoyed <3

I'm so glad the above pictures got posted. I'm not sure my descriptions could have done your work justice. The quality exibited in the level is awesome. My daughter (9) was watching and kept saying "cool". I will go back again since it's very hard to play with someone saying "go back Mommy I want to see that again." lol2011-09-17 01:27:00
