Import LBP1 to LBP2

Archive: 9 posts

Once I imported LBP1 collected prizes to LBP2 can I import LBP1 again if I haven't completed all of LBP1 levels? I don't want to lose any of the prizes won from LBP2. Is there like some sort of limit to how many prizes you can import from LBP1? It seems like a lot of levels in LBP1 story mode. I was thinking there would possibly be too many objects to import if I waited until I completed the entire LBP1.2011-09-12 02:41:00

I think you should be able to play LBP1 and then it just shows up on LBP2 when you go back on. No?2011-09-13 20:32:00

OK, I am glad you asked! Great question. So, when you do something in lbp1, when you go back to lbp2 it will ask you if you want to import your lbp1 profile. Do not say yes. SAy no, or else it will actually delete your current profile and replace it with your lbp1 profile. So, once in your pod, press Start go to Settings and go to Profile. Then press that shiny 'Import collected objets in LittleBigPlanet' button! 2011-09-13 20:34:00

Yeah, I did the backup first. I did lose some stuff after the import but not all. I mean the story levels are still 100% my creations still there. Some objects I had I don't see. Guess I leave it as is before I make any more mistakes.

Well I know that if you collect too many objects it will start replacing your unhearted items.2011-09-20 16:38:00

And I think that's exactly what happened. I have sooo many objects and stickers just in LBP2 alone. I sure wish there was some sort of way to hide the ones I didn't need for a while... Like not totally deleting them.. just hiding them from the list selection or something so the list of objects/stickers don't be so long a list to go through.

i have 98% of LBP1 prizes ported to LBP2 and EVERY level pack too. no problem. there is no limit. all that happens is that the popit tends to lag a little, especially the sticker section. happy hunting

make a new category... call it ZZZ and it will appear at the bottom of the list. then all you have to do it reassign anything you don't want into that category

are people sure that prizes get deleted if you don't heart them? i still seem to have everything and i've hearted nothing
