Do we know if paint stays when splattered?

What color paints can we shoot?

I would love to make an art-war level where you can paint the arena different colors. :hero:

I also hope that the paint stays on your Sackperson unless cleaned off.

3Oth December. They are replacing it.

I believe paint does stay. I think it does in the videos.

Yeah paint stays on walls that it hits, and i think the paint is the color of your character colors, like your popit. and paint does stay on your character. but paint splats are like stickers, so there is probably a limited amount of splats on a surface before it starts replacing the original splats

oh, and i have a level im planning in my head too. I cant really start yet like some ppl have becuase im not sure how the security camera and the health bars work

the limited splats(or shots) in games is common, usually when u shoot a bunch of holes in a wall on a game they eventually disappear so ur probably right on that one

That's to prevent slowing the game. Each effect has to be processed by the CPU, and while the PS3 has 8 of them, too many and you will see a performance decrease. It's just to keep the game running smoothly for the players, and it's a good thing.

thats why there is a limit on the number of stickers on a sackboy, too many and it will take forever to switch from on costume to a more stickered one

I started making a level called Alien Training. Basically, you're a genetically altered newborn alien that is called to war. You must first go through proper traning. Half of it will use the Paintinator.2008-12-23 00:33:00

My next level will make full use of it. I have not started any work though because I want to know EXACTLY how the gun functions and what the design possibilities using it are.2008-12-23 00:36:00

yeah true that, i'm making some kind of faction battle, and i'm building my intro, all the way till when u get the paintonator in my level, btw, anyone know if it will come out midnight or around that time?

I can almost guarantee it won't come out at midnight. Typically the store doesn't update until around 5 pm GMT.

Also, does anyone know if there's any sort of tether on the gun(not visible, obviously)? Not having that could be a serious turn-off for me.

People, I think (THINK) that paint comes out the colour of your popit.

Ie, you have red score bubbles, red popit, red paint.

I THINK!

I think you probably have a certain number of paintballs per gun, not tether

Or maybe a certain timeframe you can have it for.

From what I've seen there's no limit to how many paintballs there are in a gun and they're not tethered...

BUT...

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I heard you couldn't grab things with the gun in your hand...
