Invisible AND solid material needed!

I'm making a level that requires an invisible walkway/bridge/platform. The only problem is that I can't make any material invisible without a problem (invisible dark matter trick dosen't work in LBP2 anymore) or two (hologram can be invisible, but my sackperson would go right through it.) Is there any way that you can make a material invisible while still solid? Any answers appreciated.2011-09-11 05:56:00

Yeah just make the black matter really really small, then just draw a line of what ever it is you need to do.
But a word of warning. Becareful not to lose the dark matter as in you draw a line but afterwards you don't need it. Its very hard to select the dark matter to delete it if you cant see it and since its so small the popit cursor cant pick it up.

To not worry about it at all, you could have a player sensor somewhere around the area of the invisible bridge, wired to an emitter so the bridge will only pop-up when you actually need it.
You may find that bug going on with Emitters though, that they have a delay when they shouldn't. To solve that, just wire the player sensor to a selector's Cycle input with a few ports, and wire each port to a separate emitter, all the emitters set to emit the exact same thing at the exact same position.

Here's how to make any material invisible:

1. Make a piece of material and shrink it as small as you can (rotating and shrinking often lets you make it smaller again) - it may turn invisible.
2. When it turns invisible or gets as small as you can make it, copy it and smear it into a line.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 as many times as desired.

Each time this is repeated raises the size that the piece needs to be before it can be rendered.

I tried the tiny dark matter and it worked. Weird how on my first three tries there were some bits of dark matter appearing. Must've been a glitch or something. Anyways, thanks for the answers!2011-09-11 16:12:00
