Hey everyone, Whats haps?

Whats haps? (what is happening in your life, and how has the world been treating you? - for those unaccustomed to my slang)

So i just recently decided to join LBPC, and wanted to tell you all. After all, this is what this forum is for, isn't it? My psn is Money1000125, and if i could change it, I most definitely would. But then again, the majority of Playstation Users don't like their names. But anyhow, I've been a lover of the LittleBigPlanet for about three years now, sometime around when the Paintinator went big. My levels aren't going to bedazzle you with mouth-gaping, finger-numbing glory, but I do put the extra effort into each one to make sure they work properly, and are fun. I'd by far rather have a level with eye-popping creativity than most levels slopped together in a matter of minutes. Even my one tutorial level (about making a playlist) has an Avalonian feel to it. Sometimes I wonder why my levels aren't as recognized as others, and it really bugs me to spend hours every day into making my levels only to find no one plays them. And no, my levels aren't those copied shark levels, or trophy levels. I made a pact with myself when I was playing the original LBP to never H4H, and earn my trophies responsibly. Sadly, i was never able to platinum the first game because I struggle to get hearted. I do enjoy it when people leave comments and reviews on my levels, so long as it constructive. I'd much, MUCH rather have someone post a comment telling me of what went wrong with my level, rather than saying something like, "DON TPLAY BORING". (and yes, someone did post that on a level about a glitch I discovered awhile back.) Also, if people ask me to play one of their levels, I usually do, it's the least I could do in return for their time on my level. I know i'm talking a lot about levels and such, but this is because most of my time on LBP2 is spent making levels. I'm trying to scrape together $100 right now to buy a PS Eye and PS Move for the new DLC coming out soon! Paintbrush? Yes, I think worth it. Currently, I only have around 8 levels on my planet, and most of them are what i manage to make in a weekend or two. (I am a senior in Highschool, so homework and finding a job are a high prioirty, too) One of my levels I would like to rattle for a bit is one called Designs Weekly.

Basically, I have a lot of ideas that start off huge, but end up becoming scrapped due to thermo restrictions and lack of interest. But rather than deleting all the items I made, I give them to the community. Every Saturday, I update to level with whatever I scrapped to see where it inspires you to make of it. As they say, one man's trash is another's treasure.

I love LBP2, and continue to check in at least once a month (but usually everyday when in the mood), and is currently the only game with trophies I still play after platinum. Some of my friends pester me to play my Xbox more, but they can COD all they want, I got LBP2. To sum up, I hope I introduced myself to you, my fellow reader, well enough, and hope to see where LBPC takes me from here on out.

Hello, and welcome Lyrikan! I'm sorry you don't like your PSN ID (I love mine ). I know what you mean about spending lots of time on your levels and getting no recognition from them. You seem far more determined than me. My latest (and only LBP2 so far) level has gotten the most hits out of any I've made with 38 plays (jaw dropping, right? pshh >.>). I've let the lack of appreciation get to me since LBP1, and never really put much effort into my LBP1 levels, figuring no one was going to see them anyways (through the hundreds of thousands of levels that already existed). I admire you for trudging on despite your lack of plays ^_^.

From what I've noticed, the "mouth-gaping, finger-numbing glory" levels are usually created by those who work with other, more logic experienced LBP sack people. I think anyone is capable of making those FRIGGIN AWESOME levels, if they know the right people. That's where LBPC comes in. If you ever need help with figuring out how to make something work that's beyond your current logic abilities, or need another creative sack persons ideas or view on things, you can just ask for some help here, and chances are someone will be more than happy to pop in and lend a hand .

Welcome to LBPC Lyrikan. I believe you will find that this site is one of a kind...filled with some great people (just read some of the posts above) and very talented artists in numerous genres.

Your post was very informative, and I like that. It's great to have a deeper understanding of the members here...what we've been through and what makes us tick. It's a difficult pill to swallow, spending countless hours on a level just to garner a few plays. But if you create from the perspective that you are doing it for fun and personal enjoyment, those long hours can take on a much more significant meaning.

See you around, and feel free to ask any of us for help if you need it.

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

Your best bet is to post your levels in the Level Showcase and turn on the F4F option (feedback for feedback) to help you improve your levels. It is a bunch of hard work, but you need to go and play OTHER F4F levels and leave them constructive feedback and then tell them which of yours to honor their F4F. Again... lots of hard work, but you can get lots of feedback that way and that will in turn help you improve your levels which in turn will slowly get your heart count up as you improve or demonstrate that you have some amazing skills. At least here and LBPC, we appreciate the skills and what it takes to make a great and fun level.

Best of luck and..

Have fun!
