1.06 Not Downloading?

Archive: 16 posts

The download takes about fifty minutes on my system. When it gets to about thirty percent, it says "Error" and kicks me out. What? This has happened every time I've tried it, and now I can't play LBP2 online! I have my contest level and I have to review four more levels for people! NOOO! I don't know if it's my (temporary) internet or the download itself, I'm so confused. I'm pretty sure it's my IP address now. Still, I don't know how to fix it. Now I'm stuck without LBP2 online and I might not be able to enter the contest. Is anyone else having the same problem? I did some research, but no results at all (duh, it came out yesterday). I did however see two other people with this problem. No one answered them, though. So I'm stumped. Please, please help me. I don't want to be separated from LBP2 online forever.
It's making me sad
EDIT: I discovered that the problem is an error by the code 80023324. I think I need a new internet.

Well if worst comes to worst.. I'm sure you could play away offline and create your level. Then when it's done, back up the level to an external device. Then pop that in your computer and email the level off to someone on the contest crew. I do not know if they would accept that but it's a way. You'll have to take it up with them and find out if it's feasible/ what email address you should be emailing a level to.2011-09-09 16:03:00

Is there anyone you know where you could take your console to their place and get the update done? I'm sure they wouldn't mind for an hour or two.2011-09-09 16:27:00

I just realized that it wasn't my internet, it was the download.2011-09-10 08:07:00

Downloading and installing the update? I had the same problem until the "Please wait" took longer than usual. After that it started downloading normally (although a little long). For me, if the "Please wait" thing lasted for like a second and it took me to the download page, the minutes would be the one going up, not the percentage. XD2011-09-11 05:51:00

I think it's my IP address. I deleted some stuff and it barely helped. I forget the code, but I looked something about close to it (I think it was it) and it said that the system could not obtain the IP address. Hm...does anyone know how to fix this? Please reply as soon as possible. I are NOT amuse of being locked out. It's so disappointing to watch an hour long download just to have it mess up less than halfway there (it loads at about 1% per minute I might add). I feel like I'm a hungry, sad kid with nut allergies watching people eating a peanut-butter cake. And the cake is no lie. I have so much to update, but I CAN'T! I'll stop sapping now, but please help meeeeeeeh.2011-09-11 19:20:00

All I know is this was such a long update. I started updating at like 2am, and when I realized I wasn't going to get to check on anything on LBP2, I went to bed. lol But, I didn't have any issues regarding the download of it.2011-09-12 02:59:00

Okay, NO ONE at all can just suggest anything? Anyone? I don't really want to hear a story of how long your download was, I just want suggestions please. You don't know how boring it is. I can't do ANYTHING. And I'm probably the only one in the whole entire world who can't because of this. I've tried absolutely everything at my disposal. Anyone know anything about IP addresses? Internet? Just take an educated guess. At least something that involves results? I'm really desperate right now (as you can see). I'm tired of it. It's only worse than the PSN hack because of the fact that I'm the ONLY one that's having this problem (I think). I haven't gotten anywhere. I'm still stuck at the bottom of the problem. Here's what I think:
-It's my temporary internet. For some reason my system can't find something. The strange thing is that everyone says that their updates take more than about two hours, and mine only takes fifty/fourty minutes. So there's a problem.
-It's the download. Maybe there's something corrupted that my system won't read. It downloaded the trophies, but not anything else. Note that it only gets to about 35%.
Please help. I really REALLY want to get back online. It's so boring. I mean, I can still get on PSN, but not on one of my only games. Ugh.

Are you using a wireless connection with a router? I suggest you get closer to he router in some way or actually make a wired connection. My download(s) never worked unless if I was upstairs where the router was.2011-09-15 03:56:00

That isn't the problem. I have tons of space on my system. I think the problem is my internet. Hence the error 80023324.

It sounds to me like your system is having trouble staying connected to your router. If you reset the router it should solve the connection problem. If that doesn't work, try setting up your internet connection to your system again via network settings on your XMB.

If you still have no luck, sorry that's all I've got.
