Hi. I go by mr_scottige on LBP and I've only recently joined the ps3 crowd and discovered the gem that is little big planet. It is literally the reason I shelled out for a ps3 and I can tell you, I was not disappointed. The game is magic. Everything I'd hoped for. I'm on part 2 now so thought it was time to start level editing. Boy it's pretty in depth once you start digging isn't it? I make retro remakes and original retro games as a hobby. I've released ( does quick tally on site ) 20 games over the years so it's thr creation aspect of LBP that piqued my interest. I saw a remake of level 1 from manic miner on youtube and thought, this is for me . When I started, I naturally got stuck straight away lol. That's when I googled LBP forums for help and discovered this place. I must say thanks for the warm welcome guys. I posted a query and it was answered quickly and solved my issue easily. I get a good vibe off this place. Other communities ( not LBP, net communities in general ) would just post a scornful reply of OMFG Noob. LeaRn2 CodE LolZ!!!

Welcome to the site mr_scottige. This is a great community, I think mainly because of it's large membership and diversity. The talent base here is staggering...from visual feasts and extreme gameplay, to music that is nothing short of impressive. As you've discovered, LBPC is filled with helpful members, but you may not yet be aware of the expansive Tutorial Archive here that rivals the Encyclopedia Britanica...well, that might be stretching the truth a wee tiny bit...but incredibly useful just the same. I hope you enjoy your stay here. See you around.
