Because it's a glitch lol. The devs don't want glitches, even if they are helpful.

I was wondering where that went... I tried to change a block of sponge into metal earlier, and it failed on me... Also, if you didn't notice, Mm uses this in their levels. A good example is in the Frozen Tundra when the icicles fall from the ceiling and go into the ground. Parts of the ground are made of dissolving material, but it looks like snow sponge. I don't see why they took it out.

I don't see why they took it out. Actually, I really don't think they did if I'm honest. I think they had a decor layer on the closest to the screen, and a very thin amount of the snow sponge on top of the dissolve, so the weight of the icicle would have destroyed the thin layer of sponge.

Despite its advantages, it was considered a flaw. It took away from the variety of materials. I'm glad they patched it.

i always thought because it had to do with what the cow was made of in the boomtown level, but i have no proof of it. I only say that because its the only cow i remember seeing in the game

LISTEN UP Disclaimer: Don't try this until it is proved to work...yep OK, as bringer of the Cow Glitch () to this forum I will help those in need, as I think I may have found a solution to make this work again. But it may take a bit of hassle.... First of all, you will have to delete Game Data. Yes, that means re-installing it later Second, DO NOT install it back when you next go on the game. Instead, press circle when it asks you and you will be able to play the game(but you will not be able to go online without the patch). Third, Create/Carry on creating your level. If I am right (I hope so) the glitch should not be patched and you will be able to use it. Fourth, Re-install the game data. Publish your level and it should still work, because the cow glitch still works with levels that used it before the patch. why is this cow glitch so important??!! just use the original material You can use it to disguise materails, make things look nicer, have different properties and make traps. The best glitch in LBP imo.
