I just didn't bother replying cos Mr_Fusion already expressed my sentiments on the issue, i.e. if you want to increase your 'reputation' score, it's quality posts that count. Ultimately, the stats are all meaningless anyway - your real reputation is based on the way in which others peceive you, and spamming the forums with pointless drivel probably isn't gonna help you much in that regard. Of course, the relative anonymity and geographical isolation provided by the internet means that you can get away with the sort of behavior that'd get you a punch in the face in real life, but it will still affect the way others treat you.
