Welcome to this week's spotlight! Before we continue, we'd like to send our thoughts out to our fellow Spotlight crew member, VelcroJonze, who has sadly left the LBP PSP community due to health reasons. We'll all miss you dearly VJ, for your talent as a creator, your generosity for the spotlight crew, and your witty, vibrant presence with us. Take care of yourself.

For now, on with the show.

http://ib.lbp.me/img/bl/bab6f410ee9394db0b99af79531704c09ccb246b.pngThe Calamitous Clock: Guardian of TimeSX_Shookie99[PLATFORMER] Life inside a Grandfather Clock isn't easy, especially if you have nightmares all the time. But, you are destined for more, and your Grandpa has a little explaining to do.

Grandpa has a task for you and it will not be easy! First things first, you will have to use all mean possible to swing up, up, up to the clock. Shookie has brought the gameplay to the table again with myriad new platforming elements that are fresh and innovative. Wonderful decorations and details adorn the level for an overall fun and beautiful experience. If you love Shookie's other levels be sure to give this a go, it might be your new favorite.
The fate of time itself seems to be uncertain in LittleBigPlanet, and you happen to be the grandson of the man who's taking care of it for the moment. But he has reached a ripe old age and it's time to pass the torch on, and your first task as the heir to the throne is to ascend this gargantuan grandfather clock to meet your own at the top and find out just what's going on. SX_Shookie99 has delivered some fun game play as you swing and bounce around the inner workings of a giant clock and with plenty of sequel potential, The Calamitous Clock: Guardian of Time is well worth checking out. To be the Guardian of Time is a weighty responsibility and one about to be handed on from one generation of clock-dwelling Sacks to another. This intriguing story is revealed little by little in journals hidden in the intricate workings of the clock on your journey to the top of the pendulum in answer to your grandfather?s summons. All of this makes the perfect setting for some extremely polished and fun platforming in and amongst the mechanisms clicking and whirring all around you. The cog and bouncepad sections are so beautifully put together that you feel yourself being whirled and spun seamlessly upwards towards your goal. A charming and skilfully crafted level which works like clockwork!http://ic.lbp.me/img/bl/2fcb35c55859ed76a6cccfcc84088309856e5707.pngTrones queMorgana25Abstract platformer based on the world of Tron. Play for the System or the Users and search for ISO's for bonus points. Playable multiplayer but SINGLE PLAYER RECOMENDED for best frame rate and some sections that are not multiplayer friendly. SPECIAL THANKS to hilightnotes for his amazing original music, comphermc for gameplay and ToykyoMegaplex for gameplay & the Tron font. Hope you enjoy it!

Tron fans rejoice! A spectacular LittleBigPlanet interpretation of the beloved movie Morgana has created another level you'll love right from the get go. Futuristic themes are a major part of the level. Gameplay is innovative, visuals are high quality neon representations of everything Tronesque. One of my favorite touches in the level was the ability to play as the System or a User. With such a feature like this you'll want to play it twice!
Step into Tronesque, a place where you can play for the users, or the system. Each side representing a different colour and radically altering the appearance of the level. Morgana25 has captured the Tron look perfectly with slick neon lines throughout and futuristic elements. The platforming is fun and fresh, and of course it wouldn't be a Morgana25 level without some secrets. Hunt or save the ISO's hidden well throughout the level depending which side you chose at the start. Which gives this level plenty of reasons to play it again and again as you find everything and soak in the atmosphere. Plus it has some fantastic custom music created by hilightnotes which adds another layer to the immersion.http://ie.lbp.me/img/bl/ade5fd97382df428f563b18fd2508bbcb920975d.png(LBPC3 ) The Rhythm Ruins - 1P ONLY!!!rialreesSTRICTLY ONE PLAYER ONLY! Sackthing, you've been captured by natives, for.... some reason. To earn your freedom, you must find your way through the Rhythm Ruins! This level relies heavily on music synchronisation - make sure you do not allow anyone else to join during your play, or the level won't be very happy! Use of the popit will almost certainly cause issues too.

Wow, an absolutely breathtaking level. Ria's new level will sweep you off of Craftworld. In this synchronized level everything seems as if it was perfect. The whole level is amazingly intricate and artistic. You'll start out in a beautiful cinematic that is immediately synced to the catchy rhythm that continues throughout the level. The difficulty gets kicked up a notch as you navigate the temple. This sets the stage for the pi?ce de r?sistance where you will be left in complete awe. Ria herself sings in one of the most amazing synchronized platforming sections I've seen. It is as if an angel created this level.
The beginning of the The Rhythm Ruins seems bleak, trapped in a cage by some crazy tribesmen. Who knows what you've done but your task for penance becomes clear, and when the level soon begins with lights synchronized to the music and other events in the level, this trek becomes a pleasure. And boy is the music good, you'll be tapping away as the beat ticks throughout the level. Expect to be treated to some of rialrees's wonderful singing, or humming in this case in an astonishing song later in the level. But let's put the genius music aside, the level also boasts some beautiful scenery. It may be set in ruins but it's far from lifeless as the music possesses the environment and brings it to life. Do not miss this one, a unique experience in LittleBigPlanet!http://i8.lbp.me/img/bl/dd824416c98b33d9c263ac37b03e9bbce96e4598.pngAt World's EndDrunkenFist_LeeThis level is inspired by Out of This World, Heart of Darkness, Oddworld, ICO, and LIMBO... I hope you enjoy! **SINGLE PLAYER RECOMMENDED (lag)** (ver 1.10)

I know what your thinking, I was thought so too. This is not a Pirates of the Caribbean level, it's 10 times better! Lee has produced a gorgeous silhouetted level that had both fun gameplay and spectacular detail. No doubt a very eclectic level drawing inspiration from several games. It strikes the perfect balance of difficulty and length with a handy help system for the times where you haven't had your coffee yet. The encompassing environment contains ambient sounds that fit right in and one of the best uses of lasers I've seen yet. This is a perfect example of a top notch silhouette platformer.
"At World's End" is truly a beautiful piece - stunning silhouetted landscapes, contraptions and architecture pervade the entire level. We are encouraged to explore and find things out alone here, but there will be helpful hints provided to you should you get stuck for too long a time... *Looks shifty*. There were so many moments in this level that I adored, but probably my favourite was a very early on cutscene sequence, where a large chandelier plummets to the floor, blocking your path. That set the bar high, and DrunkenFist_Lee just kept on pushing it up higher throughout the rest of the journey. Fantastic work! http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/0452bc772fd045ee0467fa2f26eb9311b2164126.pngThe Lost Temple of the Trees (Part 2) (SinglePlayer)ShamgarBladeStop the evil men from cutting down the tree of life. This level is SINGLEPLAYER ONLY. You can try playing with others, but it may break. Besides, this level will be much more fun with only 1 person. Hope you enjoy the level! Thank you to all who helped test and give ideas.

Shamgar is back with more in the sequel to "The Lost Temple of the Trees," and it's even better than part one! Featuring oodles of intuitive gameplay, meet your friend the earth fairy. Using your new found companion you can control all kinds of neat stuff!
You want that crate over there? Yeah, I'll take care of it.
Need that platform to raise? DONE!
The whole level is full of interactive areas that are both fun and creatively designed. Save the Tree of Life in this stunning platformer. And we're back with Part 2! Continuing from Part 1, ShamgarBlade has upped the ante with this incredibly artistic platformer. In order to save the Tree of Life from .... *Gasp* 'MAN!', we must make our way through the forest with the assistance of a teeny little fairy friend. We control said fairy ourselves, both activating special zones in the level and using them to move objects around in order to solve puzzles. I couldn't get over how smooth the gameplay felt. Once I got used to the controls, I was raring to go, and every puzzle I faced was so intuitive, I was certainly not disappointed. A fantastic level, worthy of much more attention!http://ic.lbp.me/img/bl/28c6fe6028ab3099d3c0f9fac30274a29367c139.pngSixaxi s UnlimitedAngeloMatteiTest your skills in this One Player Survival Challenge using only the sixaxis to guide your Sackboy reach the goal. (A Sixaxis controller is mandatory for this level! ) Special thanks to Kaerith, Rothniel and Ale_3k for all your help and testing. Ver.1.3 ( 25% Easier)

I quite often balk at a motion-controlled game, especially if it involves deft hands to complete a puzzle (My sense of balance and control is comparable to that of a drunken Baboon), but AngeloMattei has hit the nail squarely on the head with this creation. Using your trusty PSP... err... LBSP... handheld thingamajig, you must guide a sackboy through a series of puzzles, each with ever-increasing difficulty levels. The controls are smooth, the premise simple but fun, and even the progress menu is a joy to behold. Don't let go of that controller!Well, this level just has more charm than you can shake a stick at but (before all you hardcore gamers stop reading!) at the same time it delivers a healthy dose of challenge. The premise is a simple one: you are Sackboy playing a bunch of LBP levels on his handheld thingamajig (thanks, Ria, for the technical term there!). Each one is a beautiful little miniature and is played by tilting the Sixaxis controller to control the movements of a tiny Sackboy. The levels ramp up in difficulty as you progress - take care, your mini Sackboy only has three lives - and your progress through the levels is tracked on a gorgeous World Map. You will be torn between oohing and aahing at all the exquisite little details in the background and focussing on the fun gameplay. A truly imaginative and beautifully executed level which thoroughly deserves its popularity! http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/c41f9544b701c9336d88cd337de6cd7d3ae33414.png"Synesthesia" (LBPC3)LFiersWelcome to Synesthesia, the coolest manufacturing plant in town where mechanisms, lights and contraptions randomly dance to music! Want to work here? Then check it out! {*Ace the level to win the music!!!} Note: This level is highly dependant on synchronization due to the competition rules. I've applied this throughout perfectly to my satisfaction. Unfortunately LBP2's game engine can often ?de-synch? things due to various reasons. This is not the fault of the creator.)

Lfiers brings us a cavalcade of incredibly sleek gameplay, wonderfully catchy music, and deviously well-synched events in his LBPC3 entry. He utilizes a variety of different platforming mechanics to keep the gameplay fresh, and with the synch itself increasing the difficulty levels, you will find yourself gritting your teeth, gripping your controller and pushing yourself onwards to completion. And now that I've mentioned synch - everything in here is synched up perfectly, from gameplay to the actual cinematics. A great contender, and worthy of more attention!Welcome to another great contender in the LBPC3 competition. Synesthesia takes a nice beat, mashes it up with the game play and will have you platforming in style all the while obstacles dance along to the music around you. Platforms don't just move to the beat but you'll find some other mind boggling contraptions in there too to keep things interesting. All of that combined makes for a fun and fresh platformer that's sure to entertain you, so why not give it a try?http://id.lbp.me/img/bl/99dd7bdd3f2e39134f63db9ac461ca166971f8ff.png(LBPC3 ) Freakualized Elevator *1P*XTrophxEntry for LBPC3. An elevator takes you to an unknown place.. a place where everything goes to the rhythm.. Thanks a lot to OneEyedBanshee and everyone who tested. Thanks to Horizon82 and XxBlindwolfxX for the music. Enjoy!

Xtrophx's entry to the LBPC3 competition is a feast for the eyes and ears. A solid visual theme is maintained throughout, combining gorgeous hologram and neon lighting with more traditional materials like wood and sponge. The combination makes for a very colourful and addictive toe-tapping combination, as everything in this level pulses to the beat of some wonderfully catchy music. Platforming is, as with many of the contest entries, challenging ? due to the synching of all platforms, grab surfaces, etc. But the reward of watching your sackboy flung around to the beat is more than worth it. Give this top notch entry a go today!
*tap**tap**tap**bang* Your feet will be tapping a storm to Joey's newest level Freakualized Elevator (what a wonderfully mouth-filling title). Musics accompany the outstanding platforming and everything from soup to nuts is synchronized to another of Joey's fantastic compositions. The gameplay is eloquent but difficult and the sequential challenges will keep you on your toes. Simplistic visuals that are both beautiful and understated fit hand in hand with the entire level. Another home run from Joey and some fierce competition for LBPC3.

Backlog Spotlights

http://i6.lbp.me/img/bl/6b65115ad0bc1c5bc394423f9152f1986c236f97.pngLevel 1 - Dream a Little DreamLittleBigQueenYou have to dream to see the Queen. The start of a new adventure by TOBSn08 and Queencherry.

If you haven't seen the LittleBigQueen series yet, then you're really missing out! This fantastic series takes us on a journey of epic proportions as we travel through a series of stunning and deadly environments. My personal favourite is "Flushing Meadows", a level packed with bouncey platforming action. I haven't seen toilet rolls used so imaginatively since the days of good ole' Blue Peter!
Dreams can come true...but so can nightmares. Help the LittleBigQueen and the charming, but slightly mad, Madame Pipe as their nightmares threaten Craftworld. Gorgeous, lush visuals and some brilliantly crafted gameplay make your journey through the gardens to the topmost tower of Madame Pipe?s castle - a place as mad and beautiful as its owner - a true delight. There you finally encounter Madame Pipe?s piano, which has indeed become a monster, and defeat it in a frantic and musical boss fight to save the day (again!). Simply one of the best level series in LBP ? TOBSn08 and Queencherry have captured perfectly that combination of style, charm and, above all, quirkiness which is the very essence of Craftworld.http://i7.lbp.me/img/bl/277b3f8a4f414da851a5794edf6ed5b3f4ccbbb9.pngThe MachiniacBlanchrockerAfter the Machiniac's evil plan to steal christmas was thwarted, he vowed he would return with a sackbot army to conquer Steam City. But, with some very lazy employees, will the Sackbot Production Machine, ever get finished? (1Player only, more players will distort voice recordings)

This is a movie that really packs a punch. Every single set is filled to the brim with really imaginative little details - from the office to the factory floor! Not only that, but Blanchrocker has really put a lot of time and effort into the script - the cast are convincly acted and are sure to give you a giggle, and even better - convince you that they are, in fact, as real as you and I. Please do go see this fantastic piece!
?Long hours and low paid employees really does work? ? a management philosophy to strike dread into the soul of any sackperson unfortunate enough to work for the Machiniac. Blanchrocker has given us a truly dastardly anti-hero with an unexpectedly engaging but unctuous sidekick -?excellence-ness? lol! This movie has many outstanding qualities but the writing and voice acting truly set it apart. Together they give us two strong central characters and a story we care about. Add to that some laugh out loud humour and stunningly detailed steampunk visuals and you have a film that is both fun and compelling. Excuse me, but I feel a celebratory dance coming on...The Machiniac... where do I even begin? Blanchrocker has done a marvelous job fusing story telling, character personality, humor, and Steampunkesque visuals into one great Film. Though you'll find the Machiniac to not be a very likeable person, you'll soon find yourself falling in love with everything about him and the level as a whole. http://i9.lbp.me/img/bl/3098f91b4d188c2f79c7d86b3c57056db3e3e1cf.pngEscape from the Sewers!Holguin86Wade through these stinky sewers in search of an exit, but beware ... the Sewer is hungry! | LBPCentral.com

Sewers have never looked so good until now. Escape from the Sewers combines swimming, platforming, adventure, and a boss fight all into one excruciatingly cool level.Holguin86 takes us deep into the dark, dank sewers and uses an imaginative mixture of water gameplay and regular platforming to guide us on our way. Besides the wonderfully themed backgrounds, glowing in their own peculiar shades of green, there is plenty of challenge and fun to be found here. See if you can get through to the end, where a much more sinister surprise is lurking in the depths...Plunge into an adventure deep underground in Holguin86?s Escape from the Sewers. Holguin has created a darkly atmospheric sewer environment and packed it with inventive gameplay which has you swimming and platforming your way through slimy, rusting pipes, avoiding noxious fumes and hopping on and off handy rafts. The pinnacle of this level, though, is the adrenaline-filled flight through the tunnels to escape what lurks down there in the foul depths. You will be swimming for your life and dodging and weaving frantically to get away from a seemingly relentless pursuer. Boss fights don't come much better than this. http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/371bbbe2ace414fdf90303ec3393761a3d5ae80c.pngVAGRAN T SWORDGEK83SINGLE PLAYER -Square to attack left - Circle to attack right -Right Lever to roll or air dash

Adventure games in LBP are in popular demand, and GEK83's Vagrant Sword delivers a swashbuckling, hair-raising adventure packed with devious enemies and maidens to rescue! Whilst using your wits, daring and not forgetting your brawn, navigate your way through this multi-path maze of pitfalls and puzzles. A great level, worthy of much more attention!
GEK83?s Vagrant Sword is a fast-paced and fun sword fighting level which throws down a real gauntlet to the player. You have one life, no more, and nursing that life you have to get past hazards, slay sword-wielding enemies and wolves and finally defeat the boss. The dashing hero of this adventure is brilliantly animated, as are the enemies you encounter, and there are some nice touches of humour along the way. Be warned, though, this level is also completely addictive - it challenges you to replay and replay, progressing a little further each time, as you work out a strategy for overcoming yet another set of enemies/hazards. It's you pitting your wits and skill against the level and that's what makes the whole thing so compelling. This level is just brilliant fun from start to finish - if I ever get that far, and I'm surely going to try!http://i7.lbp.me/img/bl/0874dfb4cb2c2fe7c0dea609ea37828bb1bb8649.pngBipola r Blocks [2 player]sny832 PLAYERS ONLY! Challenge your friends and your trigger finger in this fast-paced versus level where speed and clever use of your skills is the key to victory. Shoot blocks of your colour while avoiding those of your opponent's colour. Be the first to the target score!

Enter an arena where skill and reactions count. BiPolar Blocks is a 2-player challenge requiring you to target the blocks relating to your player colour, and utilise powerups to debilitate your opponent as your own skill level reaches dizzying heights. (Or in my case.... acceptable levels) Simplistic style, with addictive gameplay. Who could want for more?
To succeed at Bipolar Blocks you need to strike the right balance between speed and accuracy. Shoot too fast and you risk hitting your opponent?s blocks but proceed with too much precision and you leave your opponent to clean up before your eyes. (Veering wildly between the two different approaches is none too successful either...or so I?m told...cough.) Sounds straightforward, and it is, but the fun comes from the mad dash to be first to grab the valuable golden blocks and the power-ups. The special skills you can then unleash on your opponent add another whole layer of strategy (and deviousness) to the gameplay. Sny83 has pulled off that most difficult of feats ? a novel and genuinely fun minigame! http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/2a55c208d860e18699a4ce9e2105aff06aa3f2ea.pngIvory Tower: The Cascading SpireExalted_YawnSack-thing has found itself in a new place once again! What mysteries are in store in this new destination?

In a dreamy atmosphere, filled with gently trickling water and fireflies gently bobbing up and down in the breeze, you'll be stunned at exalted_yawn's wonderful platformer, Ivory Tower. The golden caverns within are in stark contrast to the dusky shades of blue and purple outside, and as you make your way to the top of the tower, you'll be as thrilled as I was with the imaginative platforming and stylistic surroundings.Exalted-Yawn?s Ivory Tower is an absolute symphony of gold, midnight blue and rippling silver waterfall material. Beautiful lighting adds to the magical atmosphere and the sense of mystery deepens as you climb the cascading tower, exploring it in all its intricate and gorgeous detail. The gameplay matches perfectly the relaxed and elegant style of the level and the final ascent, with the golden tracery of the tower outlined against the inky skies, leaves you with nothing but admiration for the artistic talent of this creator.http://i0.lbp.me/img/bl/ef000aa457691fdf880b1cff36fe4f5560a8b608.pngStar TraCer 2: Space VoyageMarcusBishop[UPDATE V1.0 fixes requested bugs an logic faults] This is a free roaming, space exploration and story based level. You are the captain of ASI command, a black ops organization that was part of the Navy before going rogue. ASI has since evolved into a human-survivalist military group. (1 player recommended)

Star TraCer 2: Space Voyage isn?t just a level, it's a huge project the breadth and depth of which will have you wondering dazedly at the amount of logic and hard work that MarcusBishop must have put into building it. The main starship is just stunning in its detail and finish. Sci-fi fans will get a big kick out of just exploring the ship itself (medical bay, Captain?s quarters etc) but the fun doesn?t stop there for on reaching the Information Centre you get to choose different planets to travel to by shuttle. How cool is that? After one such flight the story kicks in and you?re given a first taste of drama and some fighting action. I got as far as completing my first mission on Earth but I?m conscious that I have only just scratched the surface of what is on offer here. It combines all the pleasures of free-roaming space travel with some of the elements of an RPG, with a story, upgrade system and side quests. Yes, you may encounter the odd issue with loading level links but they pale into insignificance given the scale and ambition of this project. Anyone looking for a unique LBP experience should certainly check it out.MarcusBishop presents a Sci-Fi adventure hinging on exploration and role playing. From the instant I saw the detailed and atmospheric design of the head starship I was stunned. Not only were the visuals awe-inspiring, but the interaction you felt with the environment really led you to believe that you were a part of this vibrant, bustling universe. But as lass says, this my friends, is only the beginning. Set your ship to warp drive and zoom off to the mission of your choice ? who knows what lies in store for you?http://ic.lbp.me/img/bl/a8ccab99982f118dc050355b906c8c44b804fc76.pngStarfo x / Sackfox - 1P. -With custom trophy system - V1.1 SwiftAyamaFinally its done! My first projekt with Little big planet 2. A fanmade version of Starfox --- SACKFOX!!! I hope you enjoy playing on both difficulties and getting a lot of points for the highscore. I know there are still bugs, so if you should notice something please tell it to me. This has nothing to do with the original characters and/or story. I do not own Starfox, its copyrighted by Nintendo. Oh and I come from Germany, sorry for my bad english ;3

SwiftAyama has produced a beautifully slick and polished side-scrolling shooter with more than a nod to Starfox in style. You?ll have a lot of fun piloting your sleek Arwing in defence of Corneria, blasting enemies with lasers and powerful bombs which fill the screen with awesome flashes of light. The gameplay is given an extra spice of challenge with its own trophy system which I?d like to be able to comment on at first hand but can?t for some inexplicable reason... The final boss is an impressively large and fearsome red dragon and, sadly, on this occasion Corneria was doomed, as I ended going down in flames with Mission Failed. A very cool shoot?em up with bags of style and replay value!Sackfox is a brilliant rendition of the Classic Starfox Games. I truly enjoyed playing this level. Everything about it is flashy and exciting, especially the explosions (when are they not?). Swiftayama has taken the use of Hologram to the next level, with massive 8-Bit colorful plumes teeming with every shot. Full of authentic Starfox visuals, High speed flying action, and swarms of baddies to accompany an epic boss battle, I'm sure even people who aren't fans of Starfox will have a blast playing this!http://ib.lbp.me/img/bl/39b89026f43b20a57890ba751e7496b92c9d51fe.pngFrozen Flame - Chapter 1 (Top-down co-op RPG, 1-4 players) FelkrothFrozen Flame - Chapter 1. Features: Story driven top-down co-op action RPG for 1-4 players. Four different classes, each with a unique set of skills: warrior, archer, mage and healer. The difficulty scales with the number of players in the game so the level can be enjoyed alone or with up to 4 players. Cutscene skip: Hold L2 + R2 (at the beginning of the cutscene only). If you get a good score, you can win some fancy prizes!

I've raved enough in the past about how much I'm a fan of old style fantasy RPGs. Frozen Flame provides a perfect outlet for anyone looking for some good old fashioned role-playing shenanigans, with more than just a nod or two to the games I used to know, love and enjoy. Expect impressive top-down visuals, engaging dialogue and more threatening enemies than you can shake a well sharpened stick at!
Frozen Flame is one of those levels that MM must have been dreaming of when they came up with their ?platform for games? slogan. As a classic RPG it ticks every box - different classes each with unique abilities, varied enemies, cool story, exploration and secrets! For me this level stands out, though, for the care lavished on getting every aspect of it just right. The main characters are wonderfully detailed, their characters fleshed out even further in the dialogue. The enemies too are beautifully differentiated, each one requiring a different strategy to get past, and the landscape shows the just same attention to detail. All of this makes playing the level a genuinely immersive experience. I know we are more than a little late to the party in recommending this level but it is just one of those unmissable LBP2 levels and anyone who is yet to play it should remedy that now.http://i8.lbp.me/img/bl/c98ecda3425458db10df6f4b07e56915ca2ab6e2.pngThat Crack In The MetalVandzIntended for one player. Use the bot to help you progress through the level and get ready for the fast paced race. Enjoy .

A level by Vandz is always going to be something special and this one is no exception! It's packed with pure platforming goodness and, as ever, some genuinely unique gameplay mechanics. The level kicks off with some excellent co-op puzzle sections with a sackbut but really takes off in the second half with a fast-paced and challenging race which makes for a heart-pumping finale to the level. Fast reflexes and the ability not freeze in the face of oncoming spikes highly recommended! With this level Vandz proves once again that his ability to create innovative obstacles and superbly polished gameplay is just second to none! After playing this level, you'll come to appreciate Sackbots a bit more. With the company of your Sackbot tagging along, you'll take turns guiding each other through this tricky "crack in the metal", and help each other through various puzzles, each one better than the one before. Hopefully you too will instantly get absorbed into this little platformer like I have. Go and give A Crack in the Metal a play now!Played everything in the Spotlight and still looking for more?

PSP Spotlight

El Diablo de la VerdeVelcroJonze/Samiamiamsamhttp://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/PSP%20Episode%2067/IMG_4791.jpgA simple platformer dedicated to my uncle, VelcroJonze.

VelcroJonze will be missed dearly here on the Spotlight Crew, and in the entire PSP community. Throughout the past few years, VJ has been an inspiration to many, including me. Unfortunately, VJ has been gone for quite some time due to health reasons, and will most likely not be able to return. However, he gave his niece, Samantha, his PSP and encouraged her to finish things he'd been working on if she wanted to. El Diablo de la Verde is an excellent level filled with the signature 'VJ vibe.' Samantha, err Samiamiamsam, has finished this level for us and is eager to finish the others. I thank you Samantha for bringing this to us, and am excited to see what you bring next!
Though The King will be leaving as Val has explained, his unfinished work will not be lost in vain. Samiamiamsam has stepped up to finish her uncle's work, and has so far done a great job! The Devil of the Green is a such a unique level and filled to the brim with exciting new things. The first and maybe most notable: The first great use of Basic Wood! But seriously, El Diablo de la Verde is truly an awesome platformer that you won't want to skip.Pirates of the Seven Seas: Part 1schark1997/schark5000http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/PSP%20Episode%2067/IMG_4789.jpgEnjoy a great treasure hunting adventure. Part I of the "Pirates of the Seven Seas" series.

Schark1997 has surprised us all with a very well done RPG. Though short, Pirates of the Seven Seas: Part 1 has incredible visuals and engaging dialogue. So, go and get your PSP!
When I first entered Pirates of the Seven Seas, I could instantly tell how hard that Schark1997 worked on this game. All around you there is intense character and building design, and 3rd Layer Glitch flourishing all around. though a tad bit short time length wise, this level definitely doesn't come short on the fun and replayability!Spring Seasonspark151/spark151http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff393/valmassoilbpc/PSP%20Episode%2067/IMG_4792.jpgThe time of the year where everything begins to bloom.

The Scenic of the Leaves was probably one of the first levels I had ever played in LBP. Spark151 brings us back in a completely remade version of that level, and improves it dramatically. From start to finish, you'll enjoy taking a stroll through the newly designed classic.
Wow, where do I even begin on this? Sparks151 has truly outdone himself now. Spring Season is one of the best Corner Edited levels out there; complete with over the top, bright, Springtime visuals, RPG-scavenger-hunt(?) type gameplay, and very plucky characters. Swinging on falling-up green leaves, platforming up a hollow tree, Search And Destroy Plant missions for seeds, what isn't in this Springtime treat? Go and give this level a play now! Also from the Showcase...
Played everything in the PSP Spotlight and still looking for more?
These levels stand out from the crowd for a variety of reasons, so be sure to check them out!

On a roll? On highly caffeinated beverages more like!

Huge congratulations to every spotlighted creator this week - we've all had a blast playing through your incredible creations.

Thanks also to the team, for including my level - I can think of no higher honour than having your stamp of approval on my creations.

I'd like to echo the thoughts from the team regarding VelcroJonze. I didn't get much of an opportunity to get to know you on Central, but nonetheless, my thoughts go out to you and your family at this difficult time. Take care.

Congrats on the spotlights creators! Such a huge honor! Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks so much Spotlight team! I know how much time this must take, but it is so appreciated by so many here on LBPC. Also impressed how far you all have gotten the backlog whittled down! Looks like another month to go? Too cool! (As I secretly await to see if my last one made it or not! <crossing fingers>) lol

Woo, go me. I predicted 2 of the levels featured. I expected LittleBigDes's 'Caverns Of The Lost' Honourable Mention, and I expected Damaz10's Jax & Daxter level to get a Spotlight. But a HM is still totally awesome. Nice one, my apprentices. Hahaha. Durp.

Played quite a few of this episodes levels. (Particularly from the backlog section) All totally deserving, if I remember correctly.

Also, I don't mean to redicule the crews work, nor the creator in question, but I lol'd at the solo user mentioned in the PSP HM section. An entire sub-section for one dude? lol. What an honour.

We are VERY close - we have about 100 levels left to play, out of 1600. Also, ridiculously enough, we now have a backlog of backlogs - as in we have a list of levels which have reached verdicts which are yet to be posted. So expect them to come your way over the next few episodes

Nice to see some moderator content being included here. First time I've seen one in the Spotlight to be totally honest. And PSP Spotlight is being included in the PS3 one. Too bad there is no Spotlight for the first LittleBigPlanet? because there has been many good levels made. This kinda encourages more people to play the sequel or the PSP version though.2011-09-03 20:18:00

Not sure what you mean by moderator content, but we do still include LBP1 levels when they're deemed worthy, and when we come across them! The overwhelming majority of showcase levels nowadays are LBP2, so that's why you don't really see so many from the good ole LBP days. If you're new to the game and hankering after somechoice LBP1 levels, you could always look back on the spotlight search engine to find some of the older picks!

Some familiar names in that spotlight!
I always looks and look at those threads. Keep doing the good job that you guys do! I am far away from LBP2 but I am not forgetting about this community.

I plan* on making some LBP2 levels at some point. Maybe in my month of freetime between school sessions this winter.

*means I have all the best intentions in the world but cannot priorise LBP2 in my time schedule for now.

Typical of the community, many great levels and sadly and myriad of levels that just didn't make the cut. Great fun for all of you, go and queue 'em up!

Thank you VelcroJones for all of your countless hours devoted to the spotlight through thick and thin. Lots of thanks and hugs to Lassy, Ricky, and Val, they are the newbs on the crew and they are really showing their dedication to the task at hand already. Special thanks to Ria and OEB who have been powering through levels lately and they are great company. Thanks to everybody who has been on the crew, it was a joy working with you, maybe you'll be back someday. I'd also like to thank Morgy and Aya for always getting the spotlight up for us which is much harder than one might think.

Looking forward to playing all of your levels in the future. This was my 20th episode, not that long but hopefully I'll be able to continue much longer!

To the Spotlight Crew...you are all AWESOME. Not everyone realizes the effort and dedication required to make these Spotlights possible, and I for one am very appreciative of your efforts. Not only do you play all of these levels, but you provide feedback to the creators when issues are encountered...you sometimes play them multiple times to ensure you missed nothing...you take the time to take notes...you notice every detail--something most players will not take the time to do...and you summarize your experience in a way that makes us want to play all of these.

BRAVO Spotlight Crew!

To the Creators...it never ceases to amaze me how the talent of this Community continues to push the envelope of creativity. After reviewing the Spotlight Crew summaries, I want to play all of your levels. They sound exciting, innovative, challenging...and most of all, FUN! Congratulations to all of you on your accomplishments.

BRAVO Creators!

[LBP2] You’ll be thrilled by the beautiful visuals, atmospheric lighting and cool gameplay as you explore the mysterious Caverns of the Lost (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=912635) in this hugely impressive first level by LittleBigDes.

OMG you're kidding. I don't believe it I've been mentioned in the spotlight!? I didn't expect my first level to be chosen. I'm really grateful, thanks. Congratulations to everyone else in the spotlight, it takes a lot of time and dedication to make levels and this community just keeps getting bigger.

You know what? I have an idea I thought I'd just is mention here. I've had it for a while but forgot to mention it. Wouldn't it be great if LBPCentral Spotlights section had its own in game category the same way there is an MM Picks category? This would be amazing I think! I think it makes perfect sense which could only succeed to elevate our community to higher grounds. What do you think of this idea?2011-09-06 02:59:00

That's not a bad idea. In fact I'd say feature all of them in the list, including the ones in the list below the main spotlights (or what's the point of being in the list then), then everyone gets a chance as there would be a lot of great levels from the list missing. But leave the Mm pick ones out since they're already in the Mm picks section.

Although with that feature I reckon the job would get a lot bigger for the spotlight crew and push it to bursting point. They would need a bigger crew, more time and may become unmanageable. Mmm maybe I should volunteer?

In all honesty guys, I'm not really following you here. You say you want a section, like a filter, in the game itself, like the MMpicks tab on the search?

Lovely idea though it may be, it's never going to happen. We're a fansite after all - it's not like we code the game!

There was talk of a spotlight level hub, where spotlighted levels would be linked, probably posted on a spotlight account. Again, this idea has been talked about a lot, and whilst I'm not going to say it'll never happen, it's a lot of work and time, which at the moment we don't have.

HOWEVER! The backlog is now fully played, meaning we only need to keep posting the levels (after writing our insanely witty and wonderful comments ) for the next couple of episodes (There's a lot of picks in there!) so once the backlog is cleared and we're working like a well oiled machine, who knows what the future will hold?

Yeah your right but it was just an idea I had. I wasn't actually expecting it to happen but if it were at all possible somehow it would be awesome if it did happen, thats all.

Also, in regards to Rialrees and reminding me that "its a fan site after all"... your right, but honestly I do tend to forget this fact a lot and honestly, the fact that "crowns" are gone & Mm are creating custom LBPCentral Pins doesn't help this. It makes it feel official and it shows how aware and how much they respect they have for this site and seems only a step away from this becoming a reality but yeah i guess I'm dreaming... oh well. It would be cool though.

Oh no I didn't mean to sound condescending at all! :O

The thing always in my mind is that we need to remind ourselves that though MM think very highly of the community, and give us all a lot of care and attention - we're not the only site out there. Even if something like this were to be done (and as I said before, it is way more than highly unlikely) it would have a huge impact on the commnity at large, creating a fissure between 'Us' and 'Them' (as in, other community sites) - I'd hate for that to happen, being as I frequent a few fansites already and see everyone having their place in the game.

Not trying to slate anyone's ideas or anything, just throwing my two cents... err.. pennies... out there

No, I didn't think you were being condescending at all sorry to make you think I thought you were Anyway your totally right it would cause a rift between other sites... unless every good site had its own in game section But that's not happening.
