Would love to get some feedback on a level I just published that I put a boatload of time into. And of course I'd be happy to check out some of your guys' levels and provide you with some feedback. The level is a 1-4 player "rock paper scissors" level, and it also has a good deal of platforming and puzzle solving hidden in it on the side.

Here's the level link. http://lbp.me/v/5zh6pp

And some pictures...

I'll do a maximum of 10 F4Fs. Thanks for checking it out!

Nice versus level. Filled with great designs and good old rock paper scissors match.

VISUALS:
The level has very good level designs, even though I didn't explore the whole level (ah man, I missed the dragon thing pictured).

SOUND:
Good music selections.

GAMEPLAY:
The randomness of the rock paper scissors seems to be accurate in the computer controls. I think instead of pressing either the X, square or circle button then the triangle button, you should have players just press one of the first three buttons I mentioned, or optional replace one of them with a triangle.

OVERALL:
An good versus game. Worth playing again when someone is with me. A yay.

Thanks for the feedback, Justin. I've got your level queued up to play and I'll let you know what I think on your showcase thread.

I realize it would have been more streamlined to omit the confirm button completely, but at this point I've built so much logic on top of that system that it would be really difficult to change. And I chose the button layout because square looks like paper, x scissors, and circle looks like rock.

Hi Treo, I'm quite interested in how you've set this up and how it works. Looks interesting. My level is also up for F4F so I'll add your to my queue and post back.2011-09-06 23:07:00

Finally. What can I say... well I can say that I did not expect a whole city scape in this mini game:

The level design and scenery definitely sets this aprat from a normal session of rock, paper, scissors. I didn't get to explore the whole level. But it's set-up is great and surprised me. Details like the thunder/lightening and a trophy poping out on top the player that has just won, adds to the gameplay and makes it more engaging to the player. Gameplay wise I did think the AI was a bit tough to beat but I'm guessing it's a luck/random based outcome and isn't a bad thing. I also liked being able to change the music at the start.

Overall, it's a fun mini game, addictive even, wether playing against the AI or with other players. This has now been yayed and added to my hearted list as I will definitely be coming back to play it.

Thanks Des! If you ever do end up going back to the level, make sure you explore the shelves above the fireplace. It opens the level up onto a whole 'nother adventure. I meant to put just a little secret up there, but got REALLY carried away!

And unfortunately, the CPU responses are hooked up to randomizers. So the difficulty is pretty much set where it's at, although there have been some complaints that it is too hard.
