Wireless Controlinator and levels changing randomly
Archive: 5 posts
I am wanting a controlinator that is wireless. I have created a sword in top-down mode and the sackbot in the controlinator to swing it around wireless so when I die and respawn it will still work. I put analog stick into a tag then a tag sensor receiving the tag then going into a advanced rotator to move the sword around. the problem is it will only rotate one direction which is clockwise once I move the anolog stick around. If I dont use it wireless it works like normal but I really would like it to be wireless so i can destroy the sword then bring it back like I am pulling it out for battle. Also when I make levels things randomly change. like objects being stuck when they are not near each other. so when i move one object a nearby object will move with it and i cant destroy them either and some object will destroy but it will destroy a whole lot of things not just that one, its really confusing . I nearly finished my level then suddenly all this weird stuff happened and now ive gotta fix a whole lot of stuff up. for example. wires are randomly going into other inputs and i cant delete things and objects are getting stuck to other things when there not, it just glues and i cant unglue it or it deletes tons of differnt things. Please help. im getting really fustrated. | 2011-09-02 23:17:00 Author: Unknown User |
you will probably need two tags and two sensors.Tags only emit 0-100 signal with no negatives if memory serves. Run your analog stick control into a direction splitter then run each output of that into a separate tag. On your receiver, put two tag sensors on there run them into the corresponding inputs on a direction combiner then into your rotator. Or, if you want to do it the easy way, set your controlinator to transmit, and put a receiver on your sword. As for your other issue, I have no idea what may be happeninng. I do know that there is a bug in the microchips that sometimes makes the wires cross strangely when they are closed. If you are attaching things to a closed microchip that could be part of it. always attach directly to the components you need on an open chip. | 2011-09-02 23:45:00 Author: tdarb Posts: 689 |
you will probably need two tags and two sensors.Tags only emit 0-100 signal with no negatives if memory serves. memory doesn't serve, tags can send the full range of both analog and digital signals. using a tag to send a signal to a sensor will transmit exactly the same analog and digital signal a wire would in the same situation | 2011-09-03 08:35:00 Author: evret Posts: 612 |
ahh...good call. you're right. For some reason I forgot about signal strength. I'll go edit my post now. | 2011-09-03 09:13:00 Author: tdarb Posts: 689 |
when i move one object a nearby object will move with it and i cant destroy them either and some object will destroy but it will destroy a whole lot of things not just that one, its really confusing Typically this only happens when you're using an object that's not yours, or if you use the direct capture feature on an emitter to put an object into the glitched extra layers. If you've used the extra layer glitch in your level at all, make sure you actually save your objects instead of directly capturing them with the emitter. | 2011-09-03 18:33:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
