Thanks

Edit :

I just played the level.
It was really amazing.
It's really looks like you are in the engines of the boat.
Everything was birlliant, the graphics, the puzzles, the platform.
There was no bug, everything was perfect.
Could easilly be picked by MM

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I am glad that all that have posted here enjoyed my latest work. I would like a little bit more feedback for this level aswell as some sugjestions on what you would want to see in the upcoming levels aswell as how you would improve this level that would reflect on the others. Thank you2011-09-05 01:50:00

I like the look and feel of the level. The challenges were good. I didn't quit understand the sackbot being there. I know they were to help but maybe if they had been dressed like deckhands it would have made more sense to me. But that's just me. Overall I thought it was very well done.2011-09-05 04:14:00

Hey, I played this several days ago and took notes, but then I forgot to come in here and transcribe them. My apologies...

Good looking level! I only had minor problems (see below) and I can't wait to see the whole series when it's completed.

Pros:

Nice visuals. Good selection of materials and lighting.
Good variety of puzzles and challenge.
Good pacing (for the most part... see cons)

Cons

My first play-thru, I tried to select chapters in the main menu. Once I did that, the Start option no longer worked, so I was stuck at the menu. I had to restart.
One other minor note regarding the menu... I usually expect menus to work off the D-Pad. It's not a big deal that it didn't, but it would be pretty easy to AND in the D-Pad inputs and make it work for either.
Early on, there's a section with three column/shaft/platforms that rise and fall in sequence out of some gas. The objective is the elevator/conveyor far to the right. It was this jump - from the last platform to the conveyor that I struggled with. It's not impossible, obviously, and you may have intended it to be challenging. I just mention it because if I had trouble with it, so will others. Y'know?
Then that actual elevator ride seems needlessly long and/or slow. Not sure you can do much here. It just seemed like it took a long time to get to the next playable section. I don't recall now - do we pass by some sackbot workers? Perhaps a quick cut-scene to them with some amusing banter - timed so when it is over we arrive at the top? Just a thought.
There is a section where we ride up and must avoid clouds of gas. I spawned three times into immediate death (spawning into gas). Not sure there's a good way to fix it, but if that could be avoided, it would seem less like a cheap death (always a no-no in my book).
And finally... the electricity/current puzzle at the end. Honestly if I had not been doing F4F here, I would have rage-quit at this section. It is just too touchy. Either the current needs to stay on the next section a bit longer (or the prior) or it needs to be a longer swath of it. I never did complete it, I ended up relying on the fail safe (the timer at the top that registered every time I managed to get some current through the system. This is great, having that fail safe in place. What I would suggest is to make it much shorter. It still took my almost 30 tries to get it done. And yes... I suck at actually playing LBP. But so do a lot of other kids and noobs.

OK - Now don't get the wrong idea here. I really do think this is a good level. The only reason my list of cons is so long-winded is that I was trying to offer some suggestions for improvement rather than just point out bad stuff. Other than one actual "bug", and a few places where I think the game-play could be improved, I had a good time playing it.

EDIT: Inserted a minor thought about the menu (con #2).

Thank you vortex for that list of cons thats right im thanking you for cons. I do understand your problems and will work on improving this in the future. I am taking a little bit iof a break from creating the series since I have been at that non stop for the last several mths working on the whole series basicly the levels that are almost done are levels 1,2,4a,5,6,7,8 and end credits and level 3 as you tried was the only one that was publishable. Im curently waiting for the move pack to work on levels 4b and 9 aswell as 4c. I am glad that you had a hard time going threw it because this level was the most challanging of all of them so far in terms of platforming. as in terms of the menu the next update will include eather the derctinal buttons for the menu or regular analog and right stick. the next update will also fill the gap from level 1 to 3 and will include 4a. for the bug with the menu I have never experenced that before and will run a 100+ bug test. All others cons I will look at including your rage quit I am glad you enjoyed most of the level vortex and I am glad you gave me some feedback
