I bought LBP2 on release day because I heard about the music creation, was a huge fan of Music 2000. But that seems to be the one PS1 release that won't work with the PS3. However, I'm finding it very tricky to get started and wonder why the music creation has to be tied to a level and Sackboys toolbox, rather than being a separate option a la Guitar Hero. So, that's essentially why I'm here. need help to get creative with the tunes.

Welcome to LBPC The_Deleted. As bio stated above, this site is filled with individuals who have mastered the music tools of LBP1 and the Music Sequencer LBP2. Just do a search on Music Tutorials and you should find some useful information. Good luck with your music creations.

Welcome! Glad ya made it! Well.. LBP is all about levels and adding music has always been a facet of it. In LBP1, that music was all pre created, but you could alter it via interactive tracks by turning down particular tracks of songs much like a mixer. The ability to create custom music is new with LBP2, but still associated with levels. It's just another feature of being able to create your own games. Have fun!
