I have an controlinator with a button connected to the emitter but when ever I press the button to emit the object it will only emit every known then. maybe every 2nd time and i cant just press the button I have to hold the button down for at least 0.5 seconds for it to work. the emitter seems to be very limited which its annoying as part of my level requires emitting items. Also I have tested it with a shooting sound when I press the button to shoot so it is not my controller Please help me with ideas to get my emitter shooting well.

Make sure that the emitter is set to one shot. It sounds like you have it set to on/off and haven't set your frequency or sync to 0.

Yeah, one shot is known as 'emit once' on an emitter, under input action.

sounds to me like you need to one shot. i know this might sound confusing as you want the emitter to work multiple times...well i assure you it will emit once with evry button press. now the way an emiter works set to on/off is a bit different. frequency controls how frequently the item gets emitted. with this being said its input must be active for this amount of time. set to 2.0secs and you must hold down the button for 2 secs 4 anything to happen.
