I have a level with controlled sackbots that have the transmitting controlinator on a piece of hologram that is bolted to the sackbot. My friend saw this and told me that using a follower was better than using a bolt. He couldn't explain himself and told me some1 else said that to him. I cannot see a difference. So which is better? Bolt, follower, or are they = ?

follower, this way if the sackbot dies you will teleport back to your respawned sackbot.

Yeah follower is better because it allows for more options. Build the basic follower sackbot and capture it... If you ever want to kill a sackbot/change characters/teleport the follower is situation ready as soon as you pull the blank saved setup from your popit.

I noticed while using the follower that the hologram kind of lags behind the sackbot. I have strength at 100%, but it's still always a bit slower. Any fixes for this?

Not really, but there is no real reason to worry, as you don't see it in play mode anyway.
