ideas VS time

Doesn't it just suck to have so many ideas but just not enough time in a day/week to actually play LBP!!
Should be able to use my playstation at work!

Amen.

LBPCentral and LBP.me are already problems enough, I check them compulsively away from the PS3.

Not enough hours in the day indeed!

You can gain some additional hours if you adjust your sleeping pattern.

I don't recommend it TBH, hard to maintain around others and doesn't work terribly well (I've tried ). You just end up feeling tired throughout the day instead of only when waking and before sleeping.

Also, I have this exact issue. I've got an idea for a tile based fantasy game similar to FF tactics, but just don't have the time to run 2 projects at once.

Ha you should all work at IBM as a media operator in Australia i am able to bring my PS3 to work on 12 hour night shifts using my laptop as a monitor.
I still don't get that much time to use it though but it does help and keeps me awake over night shift when theres nothing to do.

It would be great if MM made an online toolset to test ideas and make basic things with standard materials and logic option that we could use on PC.

Most of the time I daze off at work imagining what I want to do in LBP or try think of how I would go about setting up a chip for something.. I don't really recommend this though because it gets me in trouble but it does let me get things done rather fast when I get home lol.2011-08-31 17:54:00

If only there were more hours in the day, but then again, if there were more hours, they'd just want us to work longer. I'm doing all I can to hang on to my gaming, but as my kids get older and the more involved they are, there is little time for gaming. Every single night is something, then when you get home, it's shower and bed. I have a notebook that I jot down and draw out ideas in and have several levels that I want to make but just can't seem to find the time.2011-08-31 20:54:00

i guess its not life ending. i find having responsibility is reasonably enjoyable. if you really wanna find time to play, maybe you will need to give something up. sometimes things just aren't fair. hope stuff works out 2011-09-01 22:01:00

My son (http://lbp.me/u/souma_xp) didn't take to LBP2 at all. But I'm in a special situation, we live separately and so the timesink and relatively low reward for mastering an infinite learning curve in LBP2 is not worth it for him, as it means 6-8 hours nonstop in LBP2 and then he has to leave, not to get to play again for days or weeks, and he'll have maybe 1 play in that time. I don't discourage him from playing it, but it's been months since he expressed an interest. When we meet up we play zombie shooters and things. He has LBP for PSP and I hope with the Vita version we can bring our gaming together a bit more. (I can't stand LBP1 or LBP PSP for create mode.)

Anyway, goes without saying I am the bigger LBP2 logic nerd of us.

However his math and language skills and knowledge of science and so forth is astounding. He asked me recently why adding two negative integers results in an increase. I just parroted the rules his math teacher taught him and what I vaguely remember from my school days, but I have no idea why math does what it does. When I tried to draw a little graph for him he did that "yeah yeah yeah" thing that kids do when they realize their parents are a few steps behind at best. And we shot some zombies. By now I imagine he's gotten his answer from a more informed adult, and I am forever a dumbhead in his mind. With any luck if I get him LBP Vita and he'll be producing genius stuff. All parents hope for that.

I have my own series, another series I'm helping on with several other creators, a level I'm helping a friend build, and two other side levels that are not part of my own series that I'm working on.

Not enough time indeed.

My six year old doesn't do any logic but he's surprisingly fast at learning to make (random) stuff in create mode

its nice to see people learning to create. something warm and happy about helping them. the thing with time is there is never gunna be enough, really, because there always something more important to do other than gaming. tis the problem with hobbies that you used to have, once responsibility comes in hobbies just aren't as possible as before.2011-09-03 10:01:00
