Can't save connections? 1.07 Bug?

Archive: 2 posts

So I just made an object with a grab switch on it and connected the switch to a piston, which connects a cube of dark matter with a glass cube. (The object is not glued/connected with the dark matter/glass, but that shouldn't make a difference). So I saved the thing with the grab switch and the cubes, which are attached to the piston, as one object.
Now if past the object I just saved into the level, the connection switch/piston is gone. No wire. The piston moves, even if the switch is not on. I think it's a bug coming with version 1.07, as this definitely worked before. If I paste objects with wires into the level, that I made before the update, then the wire is there and everything works. If this is indeed an issue with 1.07, then it is a VERY serious one and NEEDS to be fixed asap. Anyone else having this problem, or is it just my PS3 going crazy?

Btw: Also just noticed that the max length of pistons is no longer limited to 400.
Didn't want to make a new thread about that so.. feel free to do so.

Look at last page of problems and solutions under help. Also under news for the 1.07 update. I also a video of it posted here and you can fix the problem temporarily by attaching a string between the objects before you capture them and then remove the string after you put the object in the level.

Oddly that fix can introduce another bug that freezes the object in place. So to be sure, after you delete the string, pick the object up and move it, assuming its a mobile or free object.

NOTE: If you need to emit an object that is affected by this bug, attach the pieces with a thin strip of dissolve and put a trigger on it. Have a sensor on the level that will trigger the dissolve. This way you dont emit an object with a string attached to it
