i dont have a ps3 close right now but I was wondering if the selector can cycle backwards as well?2011-08-30 08:01:00

It can indeed

Just be sure to send a negative signal to the Cycle gate of the Selector. This can be done by Batteries or by the use of a the negative (-) input of a Signal Combiner.

Thanks!

Is it also possible to have it cycle in increments of more then one?

(Oh and off topic, can a counter go up in increments of more then one ?? )

That's actually some very good questions!

Sadly I don't think you can make it increment more than once with a single signal...

EDIT:
Using advanced logic, you can switch the selector with a Speed Scale Timer coupled to a Positional Sequencer lined with Batteries (each Battery would act similarly to the different states of the Selector). Then you feed the Timer with signals of specific strengths for specific durations to ensure that the Timer moves in a controlled manner.
By using this approach, you would for instance be able to go from activating Battery 4 to Battery 6 (almost) instantaneously

Hmmmm, that sounds interesting. I'm sure having a counter go up be specified amounts will be very useful in some situations.

You can increment as many times as you like using counters, resets, and a small bit of logic. It all depends on the setup.

Wiring a positive or negative signal into the selector will cycle through iteratively. Altering those inputs to send two or more consecutive signals (negative or positive, using counters) will allow you to increment by the desired number.

A simpler way to cycle with increments is to not use the cycle option at all. Use many counters, one set to one, one set to two, etc. wire the output of the thing that cycles through the selector to all the counters, and connect the counters to the selector input you want. This way you could skip any inputs you want. the last selector output you cycle to should also reset all the counters, repeating the cycle.2011-08-30 19:16:00

Another way to increment by more than one is to wire the output of a the node to be skipped into the input of the next node. This can only be applied simply when you always want it to skip the same node, because if you wired them all this way it would cause a chain reaction. But depending on circumstances, the outputs could be AND'ed to make it more dynamic.2011-08-31 00:09:00
