A series or separate levels?

| A few of you know that I've been working on a platforming series called Day and Night. But recently I've reconsidered and am thinking of splitting the series into separate levels with no connecting story/characters/theme due to several factors such as: 1) Time limit: I'm a slow creator, I find inspiration hard to find even when I'm searching crazily around for it and in general, my skills with logic hinder my creativity. If I choose to continue with the series, it's going to be a loooooooong wait. And in all honesty... that wait wouldn't be worth it. 2) Boredom: I'm feeling like the fun I originally felt creating is being sucked from my soul at an alarming rate, allowing myself to split the series up would bring my passion for creating back, allow me to concentrate on a single level and just generally have more fun with LBP2. 3) Chronological order: In short I'm in the middle of two levels, but judging by the percentage of time spent on one rather than the other, I'll be ready to release the second level before the first. I'd then have to wait until I completed the first one before I could release the second, and that means a delay of a couple/few months and then two levels published at once. This isn't the most sensible/enjoyable thing to do. If I chose to continue with the series, it might be a more enjoyable experience playing through with a deeper story/cutscenes but that's the only plus I can think of. :/ But more importantly; what are your views? | 2011-08-29 00:56:00 Author: abyssalassassin  Posts: 717 |
