This is a solid horror level.. Great visuals, good integration of lighting and music. Quibbles: The first time I see myself hung in effigy, it's disturbing. The second time I see myself hung in effigy, I'm wondering when I'm going to cut me down. And without trying to spoil anything, I think the last time kinda falls flat. Not because I require smiley faces and bunny rabbits at every scoreboard, but because it doesn't make a lot of sense thematically. If the ending was me stuck in the teeth of the great beast I died slaying, it would still be tragic, but worth it. In any event, at least a scoreboard would say, "You did the best you could, but this is still the ending." Another alternative would be to make it possible to leave the first area early. Scares are best when they're either played up once, then discarded; hinted at, then paid off later; or put into the background, so the viewer can't quite understand what's troubling him. Are there meant to be multiple endings? You've posted a thread for this level three times. Trust me, I understand it's frustrating to put the word out there, and hear nothing back. But what happens if three people post three bits of feedback on three different threads? You might end up answering the same question three times, when you'd otherwise only have to do it once. Your skittering monsters are very cool. Your lighting choices serve the mood well. Your boss fight is a spectacular set-piece. Good luck on your future efforts.
