Playing locked levels glitch?

So I'm testing out a level that I'm almost done with - locked on my earth - and was a little shocked to see that some random person played it three times last night? It just went up yesterday and was never unlocked...Is there a glitch that let's people into locked levels?2011-08-28 18:15:00

I believe it's something to do with the dive in feature... ocassionally someone finds a way into something their not supposed to, as to playing it 3 times... well they probally couldn't finished it and restarted due to it being unfinished?, I wouldn't be too alarmed2011-08-28 18:18:00

I heard that Mm should've fixed that Dive-In issue a long time ago, but who knows...Glitches tend to mutate and grow as much as actual viruses do. :/

For your case, is it the same person playing the level over and over again consecutively? Or did they play it at 3 separate times? I have had something similar happen to me before, and a great suggestion people have told me is to change your locked level into a sub level to prevent others from accessing it normally. Of course, you'd have to take some extra steps if you still want to let a small number of people in, such as using passcodes and level links for entry. Either that or set four auto-enter controlinators with large sensors away from the actual level itself, and let it activate a movie camera (with disable controls checked) as soon as the player enters to prohibit them from moving/seeing anything.

In fact, there is an old topic (http://getsatisfaction.com/littlebigplanet/topics/accessing_locked_levels) at GetSatisfaction related to this, but as far as I'm concerned Mm hasn't said anything about finding a fix for it yet. It's frightening to know that someone can gain access to others' locked levels at will though. O_o At least you're not the only one who has experienced this...

The old fashioned way from LBP1 was to stick a load of gas in front of the entrance so whoever happens to enter gets prompted to return to pod after losing all their lives.

Maybe people could also use a Game Ender that activates immediately when someone enters the level as another option.

Thanks for the responses guys....and thanks for that link, Qrii_Nakari. It looks the guy just hit replay twice to play it, and just having a look over his profile he doesn't appear to be the usual sort of troublemaker so I'm guessing it was a dive-in glitch. I'd just make an enclosed box that the player enters. maybe a custom sticker activates a destroyer on the box. if you don't have the custom sticker, you can't do anything but look at the box.2011-08-28 23:50:00

Nah, I just published it last night and hadn't even gotten around to sending a key to anyone. The level is literally locked on my moon and has never left my moon unlocked...so I'm just chalking it up to a random glitch. I just hate the idea of anyone seeing my level in the messy state it's in right now

I know how you feel. I have had someone break into all of my locked levels as well. I hope they figure out how this is done, so that it can be patched soon. I hate not being able to publish locked levels.2011-08-29 22:16:00

IIRC once you play a locked level it is permanently unlocked unless of course it is deleted and published again. This was said to be fixed for quick play in LBP1 but I'm assuming dive in and quick play are different under the hood so it is probably another glitch.2011-08-30 05:22:00

I've heard of this before of people getting into your locked levels w/o a key, Last time I heard of it i think it had something to do with emptying your queue or heart list or something like that.

But what I do to prevent people is just make the level a sublevel instead of a locked level
