Treetop Escape is a fun, points-based level where the challenge is simple: collect as many points as possible. There's points high and low, there's hidden points and secret areas with more points, it's points galore! It's definitely not overdone, and it's skillfully polished and fun to play. Read me first! Competition is open between 21st of December to 4th of January (Two weeks, Sunday to Sunday). Players play through the level, competing for the high score. Players are judged by the scoreboard in the level after the competition closes. The top scores will be updated at LBPC every couple of days, so players don't have to go to the level to see their standing. The following players tested the level, and due to such are ineligible to take part in the contest: LBPC Staff, Linque, Conall-Star. Prizes! I made a very small aesthetic tweak to the level just now - when you reach the finish, you'll see green leds to the right of the scoreboard - these indicate which of the bonus areas you have reached. If one or more of the LEDs are not lit, you know you haven't reached all of the secret/bonus areas of the level.

Wow, this level is amazing and CC. You should really do this more often, levels that are as awesome as this, and have as much bubbles and points as this, should always get something like this. It gets sooo much more replayability. I'm on my 4th run, and this is probably the only level I've actually commited suicide to get points lmao. But yeah, just my 2 cents, great work Linque. EDIT: Lovin those LED lights btw, I've missed like 3 or 4 can't find them though. Oh and nice job Conall-Star for those balancing platforms. Very nice! Woot! Second place!

Made one more update - put a treasure chest sticker next to the LEDs so everyone can understand what the LEDs mean, and put numbers alongside the LEDs so you know which bonus area number you are missing. Also fixed LED number 5 being always lit even if you didn't visit the secret area. Also, just as a fun fact, I'd say the absolute maximum points you can get in the level is about 50k.

All I'll say is count the treasure chests. (and that the fireball there is just a remnant of a different section I used to have there) Do you think I should remove the fireball, if it's causing too much confusion? It doesn't really have any function there.

I'm terrible at this level, one time I had a pretty high score, then I died at the strange spike part near the end. Even though I am terrible, I have to keep playing this level as it is fantastic!

This level is really good and looks wonderful Them rope bridges are VERY frustrating LOL I only got time to try it out a couple of times last night and didn't finish it I'll try again later tonight when I finally get the chance to get on my PS3

Very cool level, and the challenges go along well with the point collecting. I do think however that the bridges need a bit of work. Many time i fell through them where it was just between planks, not holes.

Currently I think it was about 640. I doubt it'll ever reach the big numbers that some levels do, unless I publish loads of more high quality levels and get some recognition. But my levels aren't really that spectacular or stand out too well, they're much closer to traditional platforming levels than those that get the 'oohs' and 'aahs'.

Killian beat my score. I couldn't let him take the #1 spot from the author that easily, so the new Author score to beat is 46 732. While it's not a perfect score, I will seriously applaud anyone who beats it, it'll be VERY difficult to do that. Breaking 50k (which might be possible with a perfect run) would mean that you really are a platforming god. uh oh, umm... hey guys, my friend did it with me but left in the VERY beginning, meaning we did not even start to collect prize bubbles and i just got my best score yet, my score is under 2 player, and it is 34,842 i hope this still counts, but look it up and what i tell you is true, and i got the 1st place spot in the 2 player, i will keep trying in the first player one, and try and beat this one, i sure hope i do, but if i do not then here it is for you. Cheers! EDIT: NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I HAD 45grand and it said uploading score failed THAT SUCKS SO MUCH, it was a perfect run with no lives lost, :sigh: i hope i can do it again, but if that happens to me again, grrr, you do not want to know. HHAHAHAHA I just matched my 45thousand score with, 45,786, and Linque, AWESOME level, the secret areas were a nice touch, and the bridges offered a bit of difficulty, you just need to remember to try and not land in between to of the supports.
