Emitting fire balls

Im trying to make a fireblast and i have but it doesnt look good enough because of the black burning thing that appears when you make material flame. i used halogram material and it looks good just plane fire but when i want the halogram to hurt someone it cant because it has no properties. but if i put a impact sensor it will explode on walls but the tag wont hurt the enemy just explodes on impact and ignores the tag. i got rid of the impact sensor to test it and the tag still does nothing.
Please help me with ideas to make the fire blast look like fire and have no material inside.

There's a default fire ball that comes with the Emitter.

Put an Emitter on the hologram material. When you select what you want to emit, in the leftmost menu you'll have options for various hazards like plasma ball, fire ball, etc.

Choose fire ball, and voila! You can tweak and play with emit speeds and lifetimes for various effects.

for holo fire to work you need it to be in a thick layer to start, if you want it to dissapear on contact with walls keep the inpact switch but add a timer set to a few milli-seconds thats connected to the destroyer.... this way it should still cause damage to enemies and will vanish on contact with walls2011-08-28 18:11:00
