Personally, I thought LBP2 had a better storyline because you knew it by playing the first few levels. LBP1 didn't have a great storyline and I only knew that the collector was evil at the end of the game.

I'd have to disagree. LBP 1 had a different story for every group of levels some, like the Islands, had a differnt story for every level. My vote obviously goes to LBP1.

Definitely LBP2. Before the last Temples chapter we didn't even know we had to save the whole LBP world in the first game. Even though all those times we saw that misterious figure flying away with an object or character in tow making the players that noticed it go "What the hell was that?" were pretty good moments of foreshadowing. Before that chapter we were just a random tourist sackperson on some kind of mega-tour through LBP, being asked to defeat baddies in almost each area after the Wedding. I don't even consider it a proper storyline, just a simple premise to make us play through levels inspired in different cultures. LBP2 storyline is really simple and straightforward: there's the overarching villain, here are the good guys, let's go on a journey to defeat him. Personally I think comparing what inspired the levels of each game (world locations and cultures in LBP1, art themes in LBP2) is more interesting than comparing the storylines. We know how there isn't much to compare when it comes to storylines in LBP's story mode.

To me, it felt like MM was improvising the plot for LBP1, LBP2's plot was more dramatic and in-depth than LBP1, where LPB1 was just a cause-effect plot. :/

In my opinion, LBP2's plot was a bit better. AI sackbots brought the game to life, and not having to read the whole story with cardboard cutouts was much better. It had much more emotion and heartiness to it. However, it removed that "child's school project" feeling and replaced it with a more surreal feeling. LBP1 felt lonely at times, as it felt like you were the only living thing in the world. The storyline of LBP2 felt much deeper and dramatic. The characters had more feeling, and you can feel for them. As in overall goodness, I can't decide

i voted lbp2 because in lbp1 u dont even no the villin and u dont no u hav 2 sav lbp but in lbp2 in the begging of the game u see who the villin is and u find out u hav 2 save lbp

I agree with Sackpapoi about the heartiness of LBP2's storyline. It indeed had a richer feel to it, unlike LBP1, which felt empty. The levels, in general, felt bare compared to LBP2.

I personally like LBP1's story mode more. There were more different-themed worlds, more characters, and it had a better feel to it. The worlds also had a lot more variety between the individual levels, too. (But a lot of it is probably nostalgia...) LBP2's story had its moments of awesomeness, like the level inside Huge Spaceship. Eve's Asylum was definitely the worst of it, though.

I personally like LBP2. But LBP was quite good, due to the minimum knowledge on how to use the tools, but still LBP2 just felt so much more in depth
