Right now, controlinators do not allow separate outputs for up/down or left/right on the d pad and analog sticks. This makes it impossible to let players change sack it emotions through normal controls, makes in-game menus challenging, etc. I don't understand why the wouldn't have outputs here.

You can easily do this by using Direction Splitters : ) pop, say, the left analog stick left/right output into a direction splitter and one output of the splitter becomes left direction and the other becomes right. hope that helps

You can quickly split the signal though. A Signal Splitter is pretty fast to hook up, and some things don't even need that, as an example an Advanced Mover will work straight away without any shenanigans.
