So lately I've been thinking about the mix of music I listen to, and thus wonder what Genre, so to speak, of music I would be. I don't wanna go by the majority of genre of my music, so I decided to make a post http://www.littlebigland.com/forum/images/smilies-new/icon_razz.gif So here are my favorite bands, in no particular order: Smash Mouth Ok Go Bowling For Soup The Mighty Mighty Bosstones The Presidents of the United States of America The Hives Two Door Cinema Club That's it, those are the bands I mainly listen to, I listen to others, but only like, one or two songs by them. All of those are some variation or sub-genre of Rock. Congratulations, You are a Rocker! But genres are a useless terminology in music. "Rock" is an all encompassing term that covers everything from Bryan Adams to Led Zepplin. Hardly usefull.

Indie would imply "Signed to an Independant Label" - that's what "indie" means. All those acts are signed to the Big Labels - so no, not indie. Even bands that "appear" to be signed to an independant label - when you follow the money you'll find it's actually owned by a Big Label. They just try and disguise it to fool people who think of themselves as "alternative"
