Hey guys. I've noticed on some of my levels the score display comes up briefly at the start, and some it doesn't. I am working on one now where the score didn't come up at first. Then I carefully placed the elements, and now it decides to pop up again briefly at the start. Does anyone know what triggers it? I would like for the level to load without showing that since I'm not using the level score until the end when I dump the player score into it from my display.

Does anyone know what triggers it? This is a complete guess, but perhaps you triggered a Score Giver in create mode, but haven't unpaused the simulation since you did, so the score event is still in the event queue, and will activate the moment the simulation starts in play mode? If that's the problem, then unpausing the simulation for a second before saving should flush any pending events on the queue.

Thanks. That's probably very close to what happened. For some reason it would not clear out though. I tried unpausing, unpausing and pulsing another score giver, and even removing all score givers on the level. I went as far as deleting everything in the level and going to play mode. It was still displaying in play, and would not time out unless another score giver activated to actually give a score. I ended up having to move everything in the level to a fresh crater and the problem was resolved. So you are probably right, something was in the queue, but it was stuck there.
