Advance mover control with logic chips?
Archive: 5 posts
I am having trouble with the Advanced Mover. I am a little new to logic. I don't always have freetime to play LBP2. So, how do I make the Advance movers go both ways. When I hook something that has a ON/OFF output, and it is connected to up/down input, It only goes up when on. I know, thats pretty much normal but, I set a Direction Combinere and Hooked it up to a Direction Splitter in hopes to get a Negatice output to make the Advance Mover go down. It did not work. I need to know how to get the advance mover to go down, without switches or controlinators. I need something that I can put into a Logic Chip so I can emit the object going up and down. Something that is invisible in play mode. To give you a idea of what I am trying to make if it helps, I need something to come out of a emitter, float and move up and down slowly. Thanks for helping out! | 2011-08-22 04:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
You need a negative signal. If your input only sends out a positive signal then you can use a combiner and wire the signal into the negative end and the combiners output into the mover | 2011-08-22 04:54:00 Author: Zero10100 Posts: 385 |
Thats what I tried but it didn't work. The output was definitely negative and not positive. I think I messed up on what I wrote. I meant the Direction Combiner connected to the Direction Splitter. I'll fix that. But yeah, the negative out wire is lit up. It keeps going up. I have no positive output connected to the mover. EDIT: Nvm, I figured it out. I just did what Zero said. But apparently hooking a D Combiner to a D Splitter doesn't work. Weird bug. I don't know why the negative end of a Direction Splitter gives me a positive output. Thanks Zero10100. 10100 is Binary for 20. | 2011-08-22 05:04:00 Author: Unknown User |
I don't know why the negative end of a Direction Splitter gives me a positive output. A direction splitter splits the input signal into positive and negative and outputs the absolute value of it, so it will output a positive signal even from its negative output. Just like a direction combiner takes the absolute value of its input signals, so you can feed a negative signal into its positive input and still get a positive output. | 2011-08-22 09:04:00 Author: Dr C Posts: 122 |
You do not need a directional splitter after a directional combiner. Hook a signal into the pos and neg input of a combiner and wire its output to one of the inputs (horizontal of vertical) of the advanced mover. Activate the neg signal and your object will move into the opposite direction. | 2011-08-22 10:22:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
