Water where we want it

i would like to hve water only in one place like if someone was doing a circus level(or movie) they would want a dunk tank,right?but if we need water we need the whole level to be filled,not just 1 spot. | 2011-08-21 15:52:00 Author: Unknown User |

I think a Water and Air material would be quite do-able without stressing the game physics. Think hologram, except once inside 'Air' or 'Water', objects behave like you would expect. The 'Water' material can be placed and shaped just like hologram, and would allow for separate bodies of water, without actually being dynamic water, plus 'Air' would make things like... Well, air pockets, possible. A submarine you could actually walk around inside, for instance. I think alot of people would quite like to see this. It would actually put LESS stress on the game engine like this, than with the flooded level mechanic. I think Ostler has a great idea! Also, maybe you could have the air material disable water physics in that area, so you could make a submarine, put air on the inside, glue it and boom you can walk in it.
