Idiotic Bots
Archive: 8 posts
I've got a bot with about 6 behaviours ( a follow,an idle, and a few acting using tags and selector) and when I trigger one of the acting routines it does something completely different (almost like its following a tag offscreen). I've re-recorded and replaced the chip countless times which doesn't help, and when I change that behaviour chip to a non -acting one it responds perfectly, so I don't think there's a trigger conflict going on. Anybody had any luck solving this kind of thing? | 2011-08-18 22:42:00 Author: julesyjules ![]() Posts: 1156 |
Mabye comphermc totorials will help solve the problem ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBYx49PaykM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFVazXuQ1bc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bDTsD29o-I | 2011-08-19 00:19:00 Author: zzmorg82 ![]() Posts: 948 |
Double check to make sure you set all of the tags correctly. Triple check your wiring and if this does not resolve the problem try wiring directly instead of using tags. For me it helps if I recreate the whole object causing problems. Probably not a good option if it is very complex. ![]() | 2011-08-19 01:21:00 Author: tanrockstan34 ![]() Posts: 1076 |
I don think its anything to do with wiring, as I said , if I change the behaviour to a non-acting routine it works. There's definitely some glitch/bug going on on, when I'm in create and trying to work out where the problem is, the bot sometimes completely disappears and appears back at a previous point - and thats with no rewind or emit going on. | 2011-08-19 01:38:00 Author: julesyjules ![]() Posts: 1156 |
Ok... My only advice is to make sure it's not on that Loop Absolute thing... That makes it run to the spot that it recorded at to start it's acting. Make sure that it's on Play Once. | 2011-08-19 01:43:00 Author: Speedynutty68 ![]() Posts: 1614 |
And @zzmorg- Why don't you ever try explaining things yourself, instead of linking everybody to another persons work? We all know that Comphermc has tutorials. You don't need to keep showing us... Lol... | 2011-08-19 01:45:00 Author: Speedynutty68 ![]() Posts: 1614 |

I'll try that when Im back on tomorrow, the acting is literally standing on the spot and waving, but who knows, it might be causing havoc for some reason.... | 2011-08-19 01:51:00 Author: julesyjules ![]() Posts: 1156 |

That has always been my issue when something like what happened to you happens to me... (Did that make sense? Lol...) If so, glad I could help! ![]() | 2011-08-19 02:01:00 Author: Speedynutty68 ![]() Posts: 1614 |
