I find that the best way to enjoy your school projects is by shaping them to be made with your interests. Whether it be drawing, filmmaking, or the like. In my case it was creating in LittleBIGPlanet. August 8, Monday, Media Class Our task was to conceptualize a TV advertisement for the fictional deodorant company my group had created for the term project. Left and right, there was endless chatter of what could possibly be. "Why don't we try this?" "Or how about this? Maybe it could work." I was drifting into my own at the time until my classmate broke the empty thoughts of my blank self. "I KNOW. We can make it in LittleBIGPlanet!" he told me. I stared at him. A smile grew on my face and at that point we knew; we all knew what was going to be. We all agreed to meet up at my house to finish the whole project including the actual TV advertisement. Seeing as I was the only one in the group who knew his way around the creation tools, I took it upon myself to create the sets and shoot the whole thing. In art we had to draw some amazing scenery, so I used the classic lbp Tackett bridge with a waterfall behind!

Nice! Back in my school days a friend and I would use recent media and little household fashioned items to shoot home video and edit it between two VCRs. Very cutting edge for our time, we would even have to bring equipment to school and our teachers were quite accommodating to wheel the ONE TV set in the school into our classroom on command, so we could show our little projects. Science class, whatever, we'd shoot and edit movies. Once did something using just lightbulbs with magic marker (faces). Very nice to use the technology you've got to realize a concept. And yeah, it's ten times more enjoyable when you're doing what you love.

This just proves that littlebigplanet is more than a game. If only we can export littlebigplanet levels as EXE's with an undeletable MM watermark.
