Good read. There wasn't really any groundbreaking information, but I enjoyed reading it anyway.

EDIT: Wow, I missed that stuff? My apologies, I didn't read anything past the interview questions. October 24th? No image importing? Interesting. It sucks, but it's still good information. I don't want to wholly trust a single blogger who asked a single Sony representative, but it's still good info.

Well, it did confirm that you CANNOT import pictures from your HDD, did it not?2008-08-13 02:22:00

Nothing groundbreaking? Maybe... it does have some cool info though:

8. Can you make invisible objects or a very dimly lit room?

Yes. They've already made a level that's dimly lit.

9. Will level remakes be allowed?

Yes, but naming them after the real level might get them deleted due to copyright reasons. Media Molecule has already made Super Mario Bros. Level 1-1.

Wonder if SMB 1-1 will be in the game? Maybe they got the rights for that one level from Nintendo... sounds unlikely but ya never know, it's only one level. And I'm sure Miyamoto is excitied about a customisable platformer, even if it isn't on his system.

EDIT: Oh yeah and the picture importing thing ^.

You missed this

I was saddened to hear that there would not in fact be any music importing, so all narratives in the game will have to be in text form. There will also be no picture importing, so everyone ready with picture files on their computer will have to resort to taking Playstation Eye pictures of their computer screen.

I am happy, though, to report that the game is confirmed for an October 24th release date worldwide.

I'm actually pretty sure it'll be the 21st. I mean, games normally don't get released on a Thursday or Friday... It's mosty Monday and Tuesday, no?2008-08-13 02:31:00

I've only heard of GTAIV being released on a Tuesday.

24th is perfect with me...Just a shame about importing images.

I find this source questionable...and its not because I didnt read what I wanted to read...

He never stated the rep's name...

To be honest I'm so tired of seeing info like this...Kotaku,Ign,Gamespot,...their all inacurate when it comes to this game...

I'm now not accepting anything that isnt straight from Evans or Cartman...

I believe it, but I'm questioning it too.. Surely he would've put that info as questions, otherwise how else would he know?

I hope you can import images, and the release is earlier than the 24th..

I'm a little wary of trusting people in general. Unless it is straight from Media Molecule or a press release by Sony, I wouldn't put any amount of money on it. I mean, this is one source who didn't even provide pictures or a name, so I can't peg it with any degree of accuracy.

Huh. Must be an American thing - games always come out on Tuesday over here.

I'm in America and from what I understand, games, music and movies are almost always released on Tuesdays. Madden was just released today at 12:01 AM and it's Tuesday so...2008-08-13 04:03:00

My guess is within a week someone will figure out the best way to take good quality images with the Eye. I think just a large image printed on glossy printer paper with dim lighting will do the trick.

Agreed, this isn't good. Didn't want to spend a bunch of money on printer cartridges and glossy paper.2008-08-13 04:22:00

Don't take it as fact just yet. The Sony rep I talked to(associate producer of the game, Eric) said the 21st. The dates are all over the board, and I doubt we'll know for sure until the game goes gold in early to mid-September.

"There will also be no picture importing, so everyone ready with picture files on their computer will have to resort to taking Playstation Eye pictures of their computer screen."

You guys need to learn to question sources and not taking every single fragment of information or half a sentence as an undisputed fact. Call me annoying, call me wanting to be right, but in the end I'm just realistic and let my opinions show.

I'm not trying to prove people wrong because I like doing it. I'm just doing it to get to the bottom of the discussions and try to make people see things from multiple points of view. I've been wrong here before as well, regarding the decorative layer thing - there's no shame in being misguided or misinterpreting something, but don't get angry when someone tries to correct you. And as I said before, sometimes I come off really too harsh. That's a problem of mine, and I try to apologize when I'm out of line, as I sometimes am.

EDIT:
Though I'd still hold off buying and PS3 Eye until it really is confirmed by Media Molecule in some more official channel that you cannot import from the HDD.

Aww Bless ^^

But.. Looks like I may be having to eat a trainer.. which sucks

All I can do is Hope and wait for official news.

EDIT: Theyve actualy taken LBP off the listings in the game store I pre-order from.. I assume until they hear something official, and theyre processing pre-order plans in Europe at the minute so that would be a contributor
