I think you should be able to try on the costumes before you buy them. You wouldn't have them in your pod or anything but what would happen is when you go into the shop inside LBP2 you would have the option to try on this would take you to another screen where sackboy is in the middle and you can look around him at every angle. This feature could also be expanded to server a character editor in which you can view sackboy and add stickers and decorations to him/her. So what do you think?

This sounds like a nice idea. I think the motivation for Mm or Sony to add this feature is countered by the fact that if another player buys and wears the costume, everyone gets a preview of it that way already, and there are extremely high-res images of each costume on the (non-PSN) LBP website, and there's of course Youtube.

IT sounds cool, because i'm pretty sure people get disapointed with some costumes, becuase of how it looks, if it's hat friendly etc. Good job.

It'd be nice to have a try-before-buy for the level packs too, like it would go and do a small part of the level for a taster or some screenshots of what will be like.

If something like this was to be implemented, a nice feature would be the customers being able to check the items composing the costumes, and which category they are (head, hair, torso, etc.). I've been disappointed with a few costumes because they didn't have the structure I predicted and I couldn't use their items the way I liked. Take for example Tyler's costume from the Motorstorm Apocalypse Pack. I thought his goggles were in the "glasses" section and his hair in its homonymous section, allowing me to use those items separately. Turns out they were a single item in the hair section. And the Tron "Anon" costume, I thought those glowy bits were a whole suit and not just pads on a dark blue skin. I meant to use them on a sackboy without helmet but turns out I can't put on a different skin because it'll show the glowing stripes are just pads. My biggest disappointment was the Rorschach costume. I bought it because of the trilby hat, gloves and raincoat, thinking the mask would be only part of the skin... Turns out the hat and mask are only one item. There goes the idea of a detective costume, and the only trilby hat there is in LPB Unfortunately I doubt they'd implement this as there are a few costumes that aren't like you expected once you try them on. If more people realize they won't actually like the costume, less profit there is for them.

Yeah. They at least need more pics of what your are buying. This is true for EVERYTHING on the ps store.
