Please help me.

Ok, so I've built my level and whenever I play it, parts have fallen apart.

I can play it in Create mode perfectly. But I switch, and things disappear, things fall apart. Its driving me crazy. On one part, you grab a sponge to slide down a glass slope, but as soon as you grab the sponge, everything to the left of the level collapses.

Help! Please!

Wow... This is weird, have you tried grabbing the sponge While in CREATE Mode?

And did you use a whole lotta glue in your level? If so, you have something glued to the glass, or something like that. I don't know, I can't explain the reason well.

I think we should see glue as a temporary holding agent: it's there to keep stuff up while you're working, but not when playing.2008-12-20 11:37:00

It does sound like an unglue bug, where so many things have been stuck together, pulled apart and then restuck that eventually the engine gets forgetful and just stops gluing that segment all together.

It might happen when you are not even aware of it, but it tends to be seen when you are trying to unglue something and notice other bits are disconnecting.

The best way to handle it is to rewind and be very careful with your next ungluing. If you notice this after a permanent save, you may have to rebuild the whole thing again unfortunately.

The best way to combat it is to build your level in sections, and try and avoid sticking the entire thing all into one piece. Use grid mode to line up parts in an exact way without them actually touching and possibly gluing accidently.

The unglue won't affect the whole level, just the one part. But if the whole level is one piece, well, then, the whole level will fall apart.

No, no!

I haven't glued anything!

That's why I'm confused. I was going for a very specific look, so everything is bolted on to where it should be. And, so there aren't too many things bolted on one piece of wood, I broke each section up, so there's about 5-15 bolts per piece of background.

Help!

I wish I could help but this is very strange. Maybe there is a "bolting" glitch we don't know about? If I find out more I will be sure to let you know.2008-12-20 14:18:00

This ALWAYS happens to me, it's the reason I don't have more levels than I do.

Perhaps you could try using dark matter, and then placing stickers on them to fit the atmosphere.

I was really hoping I wouldn't have to.

Ah well. Back to the dreaded Dark Matter...

Answer me this question: Is anything dissolving/disappearing or emitting at the same time as this bug occurs?

EDIT:
And please use more informative thread titles than "Please help me."
Thanks.
