Making a Working Computer

Hello, this is really just an idea I've been tossing around in my head. Basically using tags you could make images appear on the screen. For example http://www.pokezam.com/games/gameboy/challenge/grid.jpg A Tag Named A1 Would make the Bottom Left Square or "Pixel" if you will light up. And you could activate said tags with a Mastor Selector Plugged into a bunch of selectors plugged into OR Switches connected to each Tag. So you can make images appear. But I want to go Further. Imagine, videos created within the computer. Pixels dancing across the screen in a fantastic array of light, created in a computer in little big planet. You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one. I hope some day you will try it. And the Woooooooorld will be as one. Really though, what do YOU think? Granted, all I've shown you is a description of how tags can make things light up. But if you can make things light up, why can't you make programs? Why can't you write music in play mode? Make race car tracks, MAKE RACE CARS. If you can put music on a disk, why can't you put someones personality and memory one one? Point it I don't want you darn lemons! I'll make Grape Juice! | 2011-08-12 18:49:00 Author: Phazerz123 Posts: 440 |
sounds really cool and less crazier than my memory chip idea hope this works though | 2011-08-12 19:11:00 Author: majormel84 Posts: 398 |
We live in a little big world where crazy is the normal. | 2011-08-12 19:17:00 Author: Phazerz123 Posts: 440 |
Wait, I dont get, whats the point of having pixels? Unless you want to make them be able to combine with different other pixels to create various images from various combinations, why not just have a big block of hollogram instead of a bunch of squares accomplishing the same thing? | 2011-08-12 20:45:00 Author: ATMLVE Posts: 1177 |
Good luck with that | 2011-08-12 23:45:00 Author: Unknown User |

As to create the illusion of an actual Computer. That shows programmable images. Not just something that makes stickers emit! To quote some guy I think I knew at some point or something: THIS IS BAT LOGIC. Sounds like you know what you want!, these videos by SilverScorp91 may help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncZn9tXwVbI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUIn9_rvDjQ Thanks man! Unfortunately, I just got inFAMOUS 2 and it's awesome. So I'm not sure when I'll get on. | 2011-08-15 14:59:00 Author: Phazerz123 Posts: 440 |
How 'bout this: A user will jump into a controllinator and be able to select certain pixels, turning certain ones on and off, creating an image. Then, that image could be saved as a frame. The user could then create a second image and save that as a frame and so forth. Then, those could be played back as a short animation. Like you say, lights dancing on the screen. And once all the logic is in place, you wouldn't have to mess around in the vast logic to change the animation! You would just plug in, go to a certain frame, and change it up. Although, I'm not sure how much logic would be involved. I imagine an insane amount. To bad a hologram's color can't be changed by an activated input. | 2011-08-16 18:54:00 Author: Unknown User |
Shouldn't be too difficult to do. I did a ton of work in row x column memory addressing when I was working on the LBP2 Da Vinci CPU (http://youtu.be/VRCDmfdzgPk). Take a look at the video I did on row x column addressing I did under LBP1 and if you need some help, shoot me message on twitter @deamos. http://youtu.be/xPZCh6hsdsQ | 2011-08-25 19:38:00 Author: Deamos Posts: 18 |
