Back in the good ol' days of LBP1, you could look through the cool pages and find some decent levels, but then, coming out from it's dark and dingy cave came the onslaught of Bomb Survivals, Shark Survivals and even towards the end, High School levels...People were getting tired of the same old rubbish and called for change. We got it, in the form of LBP2 coolpages, which to begin with, were good, good levels rose to the top and poor ones never saw the light of day...But just recently, the LBP2 coolpages, have started to become the like the LBP1 coolpages. At the top, there's things like 'Truth or Dare' and 'Epic Meal time' ( The creator swears they did not know about the famous youtubers) These have over 20,000 plays between them, and all these levels consist of nothing but a few characters sat there talking, usually in CAPITALS THAT JUST LOOKS MESSY, LOOK DO YOU ENJOY READING MY CAPITALS? Also, 'Bouncepad Galaxy' Is another example of a (in comparison) poor platformer that's some how risen to the top of the coolpages. Yes there is a few good ones (like Comphermcs latest level, but he's a well known creator, it's not difficult for him to get up there) I've refrained fromtalking about these godforsaken Rare DLC leeks, I know there's younger people reading the forums... Anyway, #rantover. You probably think I'm some whining little kid whose jealous because he cant get on the coolpages. I'm not.

LBP has always had spam... a lot of it. the community is not ruined, it's close to the same as it ever was. people need to stop making topics like this every week. it is getting really annoying, Sorry but it is. *mew

Seriously can people just shut up and stop whining now? Its starting to get on everyones nerves including mine. To be honest the only part of this community that is rubbish is people like you who just don't stop whining about how the cool pages suck. I see nothing wrong in people publishing levels like "Epic Meal Time" Or "Truth Or Dare". There are no rules restricting them from doing it. Besides, these movies are ALOT better then some of the crap that LBP1 had and thats a fact. At least they are all unique unlike the stupid bomb survivals we got in LBP1.

That level was unique, decent, & overall great. At least he put some effort into the level, instead of putting tons of badly designed Costumes to giveaway or another Copied level.

That level was far too short, and the gameplay has been done before - and much better IMO. How it has over 20,000 plays I'll never know. I'm not saying it's a bad level. Just not THAT flipping good.

Just not THAT flipping good. :kz: Short, yes, but it was a breath of fresh air from all of those Costume, Copied, & "Funny" Films. He could have done better, yes, but its still good. I will agree that other great levels could have taken its place, but for now, we must wait.

Complaining about the Cool Pages and the "popular" levels is much akin to my extreme distaste for American television shows like "Jersey Shore." There are millions of people that tune in to watch that show every week, yet I can't stand it. I think the show lacks substance, is completely uncreative and sophmoric, and effectively "dumbs down" the general population. Yet, there it is, each and every week. And I'm sure there will be many more seasons of the show after this one. There's not much I can do except change the channel. That's all you need to do, too.

For the love of Cthulhu, another rant thread on the community/cool pages before? In the pool of dozens of other rant threads? I'm getting sick of these negative threads whining about the state of LBP2 much faster than I get from watching 10 H4H costume levels on the cool pages in a row. I'm starting to think the community is getting worse because of all the whining, not because of the problems that existed since LBP1. You don't like Cool Pages? Don't go to the Cool Pages. There are many other ways to find great levels and they actually work. Keep an eye under the recent activity of decent cretors, search levels here on the showcase or recommendations, go to the "most hearted"/"best rated"/"most played" ever section and check if there are gems from the past you missed. Just avoid the frickin' cool pages, you know it always worked in dodgy ways and it isn't going to change anytime soon. This thread should have the hell locked out of it instantaneously, it doesn't discuss any community issue another bazillion threads don't. Whenever the community gets you mad, rant here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=55270-Things-That-Make-You-Mad) and refrain from making a copy-pasta whining thread.

Alright. Get It locked. Idc, and someone said it's people like me who are ruining LBP, are you freaking kiddingme? I review lesser played levels that could do with a touch of finish, I even offer to help a lot, I try to boost less well known creators. I write tutorials here on the forums, I'm always looking to help people in the 'Help' area. Anyway I can delete this thread? May as well...
