Hmmm ... browsing the current contents of the Mm?s site. Is it safe to say that news / rumour about the image import tool is false or not likely to come true? weren't those pictures taken from their own flickr account? I doubt they're fake and they never did say they would release it by x-mas.

Actually, they did. Yes. They did. As far as I remember ... The Co-founder of Mm ... Alex ... forgot the surname become interviewed at Notthingham and did state that it would be released before christmas.

Alex Evans & Yeah, this was promised before christmas : BUT For the first time, I'll be happy to let it slide, because of the outstanding work MM have been doing recently. BUT x 2 I think it'll be in a patch very soon, mainly because we just got the Image Export tool, so surely image IMPORT tool isn't far off.

I was psyched about the export thing, until I saw the resolution the pictures come out at. Fair enough, they got it done and thats a good thing, but I hope they figure out how to make the exported pics HD (1920x1080). I have confidence in Mm though.

Well the images are pretty low res to begin with even before exporting. They'd have to change the resolution the screenshots are taken at first.

Yeah, that's what I mean, they should make it so the pictures are of a higher resolution. Then I don't mind about waiting until after Xmas for the Import tool.

I mean 1.06 and 1.07 were what, a day or 2 off? Seems they want to implement things a few at a time. Like you said though, they can take their sweet time now that we have the MGS pack coming next tuesday (SWEEEEET) xD wait we just got image export? YEEEES! time to submit my christmas creations ^.^, but i think we have the import tool and it came with 1.0.7 Cheers! I didn't see it anywhere, then I wasn't looking for it... But I doubt such a big thing would be in the update without any mention.

It's not a rumour. MM have talked about using images on your hard drives since GDC 07. It's just when it's coming that is the question.
