3D Material Rotation in Bkgd?

Is it possible to set 3D material rotating in the background using a motor bolt? Would it need to be emitted? Is there a tutorial out there that I missed? TYIA, and have a great day!

Sorry, I know this isn't much help but I don't really think it can be done as far as I know.

I tried to emit a complex rotating material object into the back but when it emitted, it was immediately destroyed. So I tried something more simple (like literally a bolt to make one block spin) and same thing happened.

I think it has something to do with the background being a manipulation of the last layer.............so yea I don't think it can be done.

It's not possible because you need a layer to bolt to and all extra back layers physically occupy the normal back thin layer. You could probably use a rotator provided that what you want to rotate is holo material or doesn't overlap anything else in the extra back layers or normal back thin layer.2011-08-10 16:51:00
